Questions & Answers

Can you tell me what eyepieces it comes ?

While mine is stored away, I can tell you that with the normal lens, the moon takes up about 50% of the viewing area, and with the extra 3x lens, the moon occupies the entire viewing area at a close distance, so you can see about 1/4 of the moon at one time. Also, I got a clear view of Jupiter's stripes with the 3x The above information may not seem very technical, but I hope it is helpful.

My intention is to give this telescope to a friend In addition to the camera, I plan to purchase one as well. Are there any other accessories I should A disk or other computer media are there?

With it, I would also get some light filters. I would not purchase more eyepieces right away since the eyepieces that come with it are fine. Yes, the disc includes a program that can be used to find stars. It also offers some useful tools and coordinates to locate stars.

In order to view planets, what eyepiece(s) do you use? What do I see when I look at Jupiter and Venus? The only thing I see is a glow around both planets. Thanks a lot! ?

Take a look at a star and the bright star. Make sure the telescope you are using can focus to a sharp image of the bright star, which should be a small bright dot with concentric circles of light surrounding the brigth Your telescope will be able to focus properly if this occurs. Go to Jupiter and focus on a sharp round image if all goes well, you should see a small round circle with three distinct bands around it as well as four faint satellites around it.

The telescope I own is a 137EQ and I am a beginner in the use of telescopes. Here is an example of a Is the EQ the same as the IQ?

The Equatorial Mount follows the north star once aligned, allowing the mountain to be tracked easily. As for the other mount, it is Alt-Azmith, and it is very difficult to find. A counterweight mount of this type is what you need. It might help if you read this.

Before you buy, take a moment to read this! Here is something you should read! You will only have to wait a minute or two! There is no better telescope for beginners than this one! Unless you are searching for something you can carry around town, don't buy if you are a professional
4/5

Having said that, if you are a beginner and you want to explore astronomy and have a budget of $100, this telescope may be the perfect choice Despite the fact that some of the controls feel hard to handle, and some of the parts are made of cheap plastic, I rate this game four out of five stars. Adding finer scopes is also a waste of time. Putting a finder scope or similar accessory would be much more sturdy. I have not looked into it, but I suspect you can get them. The assembly was very quick, I could have done it in less than seven minutes. The only downside was that there was no bag included with it. The telescope is sometimes too heavy to carry by yourself, and you have to find a ziplock bag to keep the extra parts that you don't use in. If you are by yourself, it takes you at least a couple of round trips to get everything. That is why a bag is a good investment. In addition to reading the instructions, I recommend reading the whole document. I don't see anything major). You will find a lot of helpful information inside the manual, such as a description of how refractors and reflectors work as well as instructions on how to use the finderscope. This evening I was outside and spotted Venus bright and clear, Polaris, Pollux and Caster, and I even caught sight of M51, which I believe most likely is a whirlpool galaxy. It is therefore excellent for beginners and I would recommend it to anyone.

I would recommend it to anyone! This telescope is amazing
5/5

There's not enough good to say about it. I expected something that would be cheaply made and flimsy and delicate so I would have to be cautious when handling it due to its price. Not a chance! On its first night, I looked at the moon with it just to see how it behaved. They are definitely worth the price. The image shows great detail and it was easy to operate and use the finder to locate the moon without having to alter the mount or telescope. I agree with other users that if you extend it all the way, it tends to be a little flimsy. To my mind, the telescope is more valuable than the stand because it is better made. I think it's a great buy. It has become obvious to my friend who has a telescope that he paid 10 dollars less than this one to get rid of it and get this one instead. I've also seen it in the hands of a couple of others. This is the kind of thing I would recommend.

I LOVE the scope of this
5/5

The first thing to keep in mind is that knowledge is not a thing acquired with a Astronomy really depends on you and if you do not want to put the time and effort into it, then you should avoid it. I have had a great time with this scope with my son, a six year old. Throughout the solar system, Jupiter and its moons are astoundingly beautiful. Venus is one of the most beautiful planets on Earth. However, even if you use a telescope of this type, you still will not see all those details without good The 12-inch Meade I bought is the new one. I used four and a six mm lens to make this telescope come to life. It is all about the lenses! Birmingham, Alabama is free of light pollution so I can see all planets fine. All that light pollution crap is silly. The people who wish to view objects from a far distance can do so with that. Taking up astronomy may not be for you if you don't like to work at something. As much as I would like to talk more, I must go look at a beautiful view of Saturn with my son. It's a spectacular sight to see the planets with my whole neighborhood watching! There is nothing more that this scope needs than some YouTube videos, a few lenses, and a little knowledge. The lens is like your eyeglasses - you will not be able to see anything without it!.

It is simple, fast, and The instructions didn't even need to be read to set up the router
5/5

You can do it in a flash. It is as easy as unbolting a screw to cause a breakdown. You need to adjust the depth in front of the eye piece above the slow motion, otherwise everything will be off-focus. Low light is the best setting for the This is a great telescope for a beginner.

I just want to say "Awesome!"! It was the first one I ordered when I started my new obsession
5/5

There are approximately 10 to 15 pounds of it. My knowledge of earth's planets is still in its infancy and therefore I have yet to see another planet other than the moon. You are truly blown away by something so gorgeous when you see it. This is an awesome gift, this is an What a great idea!.

This is an amazing scope for beginners
5/5

purchased this telescope after years of stargazing, but I finally decided to invest in one. This was a great decision, but after being an astronomer for more than half a year, I wish I had learned more helpful tips before purchasing this telescope. I'll give you some tips on how to get started It is not necessary to set the latitude control on the mount to your current latitude on the earth. Set the latitude control to the angle that you want the scope to be at on the earth, and leave it that way. The following is the full text of the paragraph By learning how to use Right Ascension and Declination, you will find things much easier in the sky. For example, look up Messier 31 (the Andromeda Galaxy) and find its right ascension and declination, and you are pointing at it. As we talked about in the first tip, you have to polar align the telescope for right ascension and declination, so you set the latitude control (the thing I mentioned in the first tip) and point the telescope to the north, where Polaris should be. Once you've determined your target (the North Star), you'll then need to perform appropriate ascension and declination and you should be able to locate it. Depending on which direction it is, you may need to move the declination or change it to the opposite. So, don't panic if you polar align it and you point it at M31 yet it doesn't appear, you're simply pointing to the wrong place. Having said that, this is a great beginner telescope easy to set up and use outside, and the ability to view some awesome objects like the rings of Saturn, the stars of the Pleiades, and many.

I would not recommend it to a beginner
3/5

This isn't really a good beginner telescope , the instructions are confusing, the eye pieces are not good quality, the fine adjusting knobs are continually binding, the Barlow lens is useless, the telescope is best used for viewing the moon and maybe Mars, but not much else. It does not come with a case, the tripod is not extremely sturdy, and on the whole I am not pleased with it.
