Binocular viewing head with interchangeable pairs of 10x and 20x widefield eyepieces, adjustable interpupillary distance, and 45-degree inclination to help young users see better.

Low magnification and a longer focal length are provided by interchangeable 1x and 3x objectives when inspecting large-scale specimens.

The specimens are illuminated by a 10W halogen light source on both the upper and lower levels.

With transparent specimens, a frosted plate allows light to pass through from below; with light- and dark-colored specimens, a reversible black and white stage plate provides contrast; and stage clips keep the specimen secure during viewing.

I was planning on buying it for myself, but my grandson's birthday was approaching. On a field trip, he had a blast studying fossils through a microscope. So I bought my now 6-year-old grandson his first scope instead. The packaging is excellent, and the product is exactly what I had hoped for. Grandson is having a blast with it with the help of Mom and Dad, thanks to the high quality construction and perfect optics.
