Thanks for reaching out, and yes, the new anchors work with the old straps, and the old anchors work with the new straps as well. It is necessary to have compatibility on both sides. Adam, thanks for your comment
It's not really a big deal. I find mine gradually tightens around my wrist, eventually becoming uncomfortable, and it requires two hands to let it go. I thought it was a great design, but it was awful to use. This item collects dust on a shelf
To me it doesn't matter.
I would not submerge it underwater if it was waterlogged ... but if it is, then I would be wary.

After seeing how I never use a camera strap, I was horrified by my photography teacher's comment. My mother insisted I use one due to her experience with what can happen to expensive photography equipment if it is Honestly, I have no problem with it, but I dislike the feeling of the camera strap around my neck. The dangly things get in my way when I'm trying to shoot when they are hanging off my neck. I was so glad that I purchased this Peak Design "Cuff" wrist strap instead. The only thing that connects to the camera is a red colored plastic round bit attached to a cord loop that extends from the camera. I can adjust the "Cuff" strap to get the perfect fit via a silver slider on the wrist. You will need to put the red round bit into the catch on the strap and snap it in place to connect the camera to the strap. There is some crazy amount of weight that can be held by this cord. The fact that it has a camera isn't too significant to You can just pull out the little red round bit by pressing down on the purple tab, then slid the red tab off. In addition to being a wrist strap, it can also function as a bracelet when not in use. Basically, you must wrap the buckle part (the black bit) around the "Cuff," and a magnet (built into the strap itself) will hold the buckle in place. It is hard for me to wrap my wrists around objects- In the end, the "bracelet" thing is kind of useless I'm going loose on you- I'd still choose this over an annoying neck strap any day. If you hate "neck" camera straps like I do, take a look at the "Cuff" wrist strap by Peak Design it is stylish and comfortable. This is a must-read for anyone interested in health and fitness. To start, let me say that I own many Peak Design products and have always been impressed with their To that end, I find this one very disappointing. If I put the camera down and use both hands to open the loop, it won't stay open wide enough to let my hand pass in. I much preferred the older model because I could adjust the loop and get my hand in and out more easily. It is much more difficult to get rid of with the new model that tightens around my wrist. I must stop using the camera again and use the other hand to remove it. My initial thought was that one might be able to get the hang of it after using it for a while. However, it is very hard to get it on and off. My hands are usually full if I am holding a different object. I wanted to let you know that I appreciate all you do with Peak Design I would like to be able to exchange my Cuff if this is not how it is supposed to work and you think it is defective in some way. The last time I did that was a long time ago, so I realize it might not be possible now.
Its products have a quick connector, which I like especially, and are among the best camera gear you can find. The product I bought suited my needs perfectly I wanted a small light camera strap that was sturdy and yet small and light to attach to my Sony RX100M7 - I highly recommend it. With the exception of getting the loop through the anchor on the camera strap. I find it kind of annoying. With the quick connector, you can attach or detach your camera from the wrist strap with relative ease. The wrist strap has a magnetic insert - when not in use, this tucks the flapping section of the strap away for you - making it easier to carry. A wrist strap that you can wear like a wrist band allows you to keep the strap snug on your wrist.
The wrist strap is adjustable, has a firm grip, and leverages the weight of the camera to do so. The grip is too tight when used with a slightly heavier camera (Olympus OMD EM5II), and I don't like letting the camera dangle from my wrist while using it. When I use this strap, I wouldn't expect to carry heavier cameras and let them dangle for a long period of time, at least not for any prolonged period. In that case, you are permitted to hold your camera in your hand (unless you prefer to hold your camera in your hand). However, for a small and light camera like the RX100 (or a similar one) there are better options.
It took me a while to find just the right wrist strap, but I finally decided on the Peak Design Cuff because of its simplicity and easy way to tie the strap to my camera without having to worry about it slipping. To get into and out of the wrist strap easily, I had to spend some time learning how to do it. When I loosen the strap, I usually pull on the metal clip. To tighten or loosen the strap, you just need to pull on the metal clip and it will move on your wrist. To loosen the strap, usually you need to rotate your hand. It was also really confusing to me to choose the bracelet option. The magnet doesn't seem very strong so I'm afraid it might fall off. It's a cool idea, but I must have small wrists because when I wrap it into a bracelet, the wrist strap is about an inch too wide and the magnet isn't very strong. All in all it's a nice wrist strap solution that I'd recommend over similar options I found The color, design, and build quality are great.
A friend of mine has the original PD Cuff and he loves I consider it to be the best wrist strap I have ever used, it does have some Because of the adjusting buckle, the Cuff mostly had to be adjusted with both hands. A utilitarian look is also evident in this piece. The more expensive model, which was newer and better, caught my eye, so I decided to splurge and upgrade. There's no doubt that the upgrade is worthwhile. Thanks to the leather accent, this bag appears much smarter. With the new adjuster made of aluminum, adjustments can be made with one hand. A classy look is also achieved by the adjuster. I like the magnetic clasp - it adds a nice touch. It is easy to wrap around your wrist as though it were Because the quick release system makes it easy to pack the camera in a bag when taking a break, you can store it there easily. Old-fashioned straps were hard to take off my arm, and I had to do it every time. Furthermore, I own a Peak Design Slide Lite, and I can change from using the wrist band to the regular camera strap with ease. There is a magnet that I am tempted to deduct half a point for. This is an ingenious design, but to make it even more striking, I would like the magnet to be It happens every now and then that the strap dislodges when I bump my wrist. Peak Design has an incredibly well designed and crafted system that includes camera plates that are compatible with Arca. You've got a fan in me!.
