In 38 a., we are told that. In regard to the Billingham SP10 shoulder pad These are two of the bags I use for my Billinghams. I use a 1-inch wide strap on all of my bags. There is a 5" strap, so yes, they will work using a 1" strap however, the pad will be loose, i.e. With a 1 inch wide strap, it will easily slide on and off. A second option is to look at the Optech shoulder pads, I also have one of these. It is my hope that this helps. CD JoC
Two layers of strap make up the product. Rubber is used for the lower layer, leather is used for the top layer. That part of your shoulder that is rubber rests on this rubber piece. The word "gripper" could be interpreted as something shaped to keep the strap from sliding down your shoulder when it is resting on it. I bought this bag to make it easier for me to carry a leather travel bag as the weight of the bag will be distributed over a more comfortable area of my shoulder and will provide even more cushioning where the strap contract I think it does a pretty good job of that.
The Billingham pad is brown colored and made of leather. As far as I'm concerned, the color portrayed in the picture is accurate. As its name implies, it's a strap designed for Hadley straps and fits well. I would use this color for your straps as it makes for a contrasting and yet acceptable contrast. It's the chocolate one I love most. As it is dark, my strap looks like this The bag rides perfectly on my shoulder, and I like the contrast between the navy blue and the contrast of the Hadley bag I was attempting to accomplish something bigger than myself!

In search of a replacement, I looked for the shoulder pad that came with my messenger bag. My expectations were set high, but I am happy that this is very close to what I had hoped. In terms of comfort, it could use some more padding as if I have a lot of bags in my bag or if I wear it for a long period, I will feel the pressure, but it is otherwise a wonderful bag. The snaps were my main concern and after using them daily for a few months I have only been inconvenienced by one snapped off. The new pad stays centered most of the time, unlike the old one that had a tendency to pull one way or another.
Using the strap lessened the chances of the strap falling off the shoulder, and was also more comfortable to wear. Basically, this can be used on any strap with a 1 inch width, as long as you don't want to use it on a backpack strap. It should be no longer than 5 inches. This is a highly recommended book.
