It has been a while since I used However, there are several years between the 21 cup and this year. It was important for me to find a cup I could use outdoors, even in bright sunlight. This DK-based web site In contrast to the 21 cup, which provides only a small amount of protection from the bright light coming from the side, this cup provides a snug, contoured layer of eye protection It was one of the problems that I had with other lens covers from various manufacturers that this piece would come off so So far, I haven't had this unit fall off the camera due to its secure attachment to the camera cup. This replacement eye cup was much more secure than the original Nikon eye cup that came in a package of two that I purchased from Amazon. There is a bit of an issue with this eye cup covering the display screen by about 1/2 inch from the top and making it difficult for viewing of As far as I can tell, this obstructing of display has not caused any major issues for me. There will be a bit more of a problem if you wear glasses. I usually remove my glasses while taking pictures, and the eye compensation on the Nikon 7200 is nearly enough for me to be able to take pictures without them. The view finder image will not be clear when I have my eye glasses on since I will not be able to achieve full field of view. The eye cup allows full view of the view finder without eye glasses. I think this is a strong, well-built unit for the price, and it will be of primary use for outdoor photos. When I use the camera indoors, I can think of no problem with the original cup that came with it. When it comes to outdoor use, this is much better than the previous one. My experience with this eye cup after using it for a month has been good, and I plan to buy another one for my other DSLRs.

Currently, I have this attached to my Nikon d750 and use it as a professional boudoir/portrait photographer. The viewfinder protector is a very helpful addition to any camera, as it helps block ambient light from entering. It is common for me to photograph multiple times a day and to spend 12 hours and take 1200 photographs in a single When I was shooting long shots before purchasing this, I would often suffer from an excessive amount of eye fatigue. This greatly reduced this fatigue and made the experience much more comfortable. I use it regularly, because it's simple to install (maybe 5 seconds), easy to switch between portrait and landscape modes (which I use all the time), and stays put. I have put lots of abuse on it, and it is still in brand new condition. The product is of excellent quality.

Although the horizontal to vertical camera position was not easy to switch with the controls, it was possible. I spotted a crack in the clip thingy (hard to see in photo but it is circled in the photo) that holds the eyepiece to the camera after three months of infrequent use. This is pretty much a waste of time now. It is not a good idea to buy.

As far as I can tell, it works well as You are unable to view photos on your screen because the app blocks a part of the screen. It rotates around to adjust to your face, but if you don't align your face just right, it tends to block some of your view, and so you may not be seeing the whole scene when you are taking a picture through the viewfinder. The product is durable and appeared to be well made from the outside. A sturdy mount adheres to the camera as well. The eyepiece is overkill and I found a regular eyepiece to be more successful.

Since I had previously tried another eyecup from another maker, I am very pleased with it. I used to buy an old headset which had a removable rubber eyecup that was flimsy and would come off with a slight touch. This is how I lost both lenses on my two Nikon D750s. Despite being lightweight, they are extremely durable. Moreover, they're rather large, perhaps a little bigger than they ought to be, but I won't complain so long as they stay put. As I pull out my D750 screen, the diameter (the size of the roundness) of the lens can block a tiny portion of my display screen, and it might be difficult to fold it back in again. The fact that this is not a deal breaker shouldn't matter to A good distance is also visible from the camera when it is stuck out quite far. This helps me to see the viewfinder easily since I don't have to turn my head sideways or press my face against the camera back to do so. I find that storing the body with the eyecup attached makes it a tighter fit in my camera bag and case. The overall experience has been positive for me.

The item will work with pretty much any DSLR, though I am sure it works best with Canon.

This chair is comfortable to sit on, and easy to turn. It holds its position pretty Since it does not curve out particularly far, I do not believe it does a particularly good job of blocking out light from the side, which I had expected. To compare with other eye cups, I have not done so. This article was updated in January In August 2018, I bought this device and it has already broken. A side of the plastic mount I was using to attach the eyepiece to my camera came off while I was rotating it to use as a portrait lens. This is just not a long-lasting product.

Installing the eyepiece can only be done after the monitor is set up to your preference. If you start with the monitor closed, it won't work. You can't close it to protect it from dust, dirt, water, etc. If you start with it open, you can't close it to protect it from dust, dirt, water, etc. It wouldn't take much to redesign this to make it work. A 5 would be the result then. returned all three I purchased.
