It has a good price, a solid feel, and a few minor issues
4/5

There are several different models listed on one product page so I think confusion might result because there are several different materials used for these brackets. These D mounts are made of aluminum alloy, and Cowboy Studio claims they are made by them. Solid and heavy, it has a solid feel. One of two I purchased had a loose screw where the umbrella hole screws into the upper plate, so I was going to give it five stars, but when I realized this, I lowered my rating to four back when I realized I had loose screws on one of the two. In order to fix my issue, I contacted CS, and they directed me to disassemble and tighten the screws, or to A few screws need tightening, so I decided to try it I was surprised when I took the top plate apart and saw the holes in the top plate were wrongly threaded. As a result of a bit of achy work with a Phillips screwdriver, I got the board tightened up and assembled. Although it will probably be fine, I dinged it a star due to quality control issues. The device will be able to tilt vertically as well as swivel horizontally. A spring ensures a secure mounting of the mounting post Make sure the catch is loaded so that it doesn't fall It is also this feature that lets you loosen the post to rotate the bracket without it coming off the stand. The knob for adjusting the vertical angle is large and easy to use, and the bracket is securely fastened. Under the ice shoe, there is a thumbwheel that you can use to adjust the angle of the shoe in relation to the umbrella if necessary While tightened, turn the thumbwheel in the correct direction so that the shoe points in the right direction. It is a little hard to get the flash inserted precisely in the cold shoe, so be careful about doing It seems to be a great value in the end.

This is a good buy
5/5

The cheap brackets made of plastic are not worth the cost. My favorite thing about this is the music. It is true that there are many cheap mounts available, but in my opinion you will not be able to find a better bracket without spending $50 or more. All the components are metal, except for the umbrella block which is made of really tough plastic. You can feel the substantial and durable feel of the product when you hold it. A tight and secure clamp holds the cold shoe in place. On the bottom half, there's a metal adapter that allows you to mount it directly onto a tripod. The cold shoe adapter can be removed to reveal a standard screw, which you can then use to use Using the umbrella mount with a 43 inch Brolly was no problem - the mount is heavy duty. I have my speed box and - There is a wireless controller attached to the light. This piece of equipment is very versatile. The mounting plate is of very high quality for the price and I'm going to buy more and throw away all those cheap brackets I've been using for so many.

The product is too rickety or unsafe for use
3/5

The investment in this flash bracket is quite small but we will request a refund/return due to the fact that it does not I have no control over whether the flash falls off no matter how tightly I tighten the bracket. It only fell inside my umbrella and softbox and has not yet made contact with the floor. Furthermore, the umbrella pole is unable to be cinched tightly enough into the hole for the umbrella, and the umbrella also slips off Although the umbrella shaft of my smallest diameter is a bit wobbly, I suppose, it is not off to a bad start. In spite of the metal flange that is inside the umbrella receptacle, the larger diameter umbrella shaft can only be partially inserted. Tightening the screw makes no difference either. In order to be able to tighten the screw and get a better grip on the umbrella when I was using this bracket for a photo shoot, I removed the metal flange from the umbrella holder. Taking the whole set into account The current system is just too unstable and subject to failure. Having a system that fails in front of a client would be embarrassing, so I am looking for a better solution. It's a bad idea to purchase a cheap bracket since your expensive flash unit and radio trigger, as well as your softbox or umbrella, are Featured below is a picture of where the umbrella opening has a metal flange that is probably supposed to assist in securing the umbrella shaft into the hole, but it is not functioning. Putting the umbrella into the hole you can tighten the screw after removing this flange.

It's time to get this As a result, I ordered the Cowboy Studio Umbrella Bracket because I wanted another umbrella bracket and the price was right
4/5

The packaging was generic and did not contain any logos or text. The bracket looks very similar to those sold here on Amazon under half a dozen different brands. This tripod can be mounted to tripods or light stands by using the 1/4" 20 female thread on the bottom. On the top, there's a 1/4" 20 screw with a thumbwheel so you can attach an acra clamp, a cold shoe, or a In addition to being plastic, the thumbwheel has an insert in the center that prevents it from sitting flush against a clamp or cold shoe. I feel a little rickety even when the belt is With the exception of a very coarse lock knob, it includes a Stroboframe cold shoe clone. Using a chain clamp instead of Arca plates on my lights allowed me to use my old Arca clamp instead. Despite the rugged design, this bracket easily holds my Umbrella from LimoStudio, as well as a Speedlite or LED light. It was easy to adjust the tilt and did not Ideally, I would like the umbrella mount hole to be angled 20 or 30 degrees, so the light can be centered.
