This suction cup mount with a swivel mount is perfect for me. It is of very good quality and has a stylish design. It never fell off nor did it loosen up as I drove for miles and miles around Yosemite. I had one of the suction cups on the exterior and one on the interior of the vehicle (on the glass) and neither fell off or got loose in the process. As for the swivel mount, it is sturdy and holds the camera in place without any issues. The new version is up and running. Nevertheless, I am encouraged by how sturdy the item feels so far. In all honesty, I was expecting a wobbly plastic mount for a cheap camera. The material feels heavy-duty. After it has made it through a couple of hot and cold cycles in my vehicle in Southeastern US weather, we will see how well the suction on this device works. Now, for basic camera configurations, even when everything is tightened all the way, the camera will swivel and move around with small G forces and larger G forces will totally drag the camera out of the frame. In the beginning, this looked like it would be exactly what I was looking for. This product does work with standard cameras and even includes an adapter for go pro cameras, so compatibility is not a concern. Upon receiving it, I found it to be much smaller than I had anticipated. Be sure to double-check everything Make sure those dimensions are correct! Thus, it's harder to take a good shot due to a lack of flexibility. This mount would have been nice if it were a couple of inches longer. The reason I wanted a mount such as this was to put it outside. The first time I took it outside, the mounting and camera came off after about 20 I was fortunate enough to have clipped my camera to the interior of the car when I realized this. The mount mounted again on the outside and I drove for about 5 minutes without any issues. I expect it is going to last for only about a year. It feels good over all and the build quality is about average.
