Selected User Reviews For SMALLRIG Camera Top Handle Grip with Top Cold Shoe Base for DSLR Camera Cage Video Camcorder Rig, Rubber - 1446
The handle was a really good upgrade for my camera rig, and I purchased it to replace the all metal one I had been using for nearly With this soft rubber grip, I can easily hold my gear for many hours at a time. The cold shoe at the top allows me to add my wireless mic receiver to the camera for quick and dirty shoots as well as on cam lights when needed. In comparison to the all metal handles this is a comparatively simple handle with just a few mounting points, but the tradeoff is comfort. Further, it is quite sturdy and works quite well.
I use this handle for my camera rig and find it to be of great quality. There is no indicating when it will be replaced, but it appears to be in good condition. My favorite part of this camera rig is the smooth rubber grip which feels great in my hands and provides me with confidence when handling my expensive camera. Excellent handle for gripping your camera cage. Recommended to anyone who wants a practical.
A credit card charge of $200. This product comes with very cheap bolts / screws, and I managed to strip one of them. I would recommend buying higher quality bolts / screws.
A metal case I once had kept sliding off my fingers and, when I held it for quite a while, over time, I also started feeling uncomfortable in my hand due to the hardness of the handle. It's rather soft and comfortable, and you can be certain that your fingers won't slip when you're wearing it. The handle was also attractive to me because it is reminiscent of the one on a RED camera.
Filming is easy and comfortable with the rubberized handle.
It might not be as fancy as some of the other sliding handles, but it feels great to use and the quality is great.
I was able to use it for what I wanted. UURig cages are using it for this. One of these have the best price that I've seen.
