Selected User Reviews For Urth x Gobe Lens Mount Adapter: Compatible with M42 Lens to Nikon F Camera Body (with Optical Glass)
There is a possibility that the rear element of the lens will hit the adapter's glass. Although I have a bunch of M42 lenses lying around, including the Zenit 44-180, there is no new purpose for them at the moment I have two Helios and an Industar 50 F/3. An adapter such as this will not work with an iPhone 5. There is a problem with these lenses because when focusing they extend the rear element into the adapter. In all three lenses, only one could be turned past about 20ft on the focus ring before hitting the adapter. The M42 is primarily intended for a plain look - which is probably what they will focus on There is no retrofocal optic on the F adapter. From what I can see, this adapter should work with the Helios 40 If you already have mount 2, then no need to get mount 2 direct in a F mount. I do not know what you will end up with, but make sure your lens does not have an internal element that extends past the M42 threads or else you will damage the.

This is a fairly sharp video. This is a Meyer Optics Telemegor 180, nobody is going to be able to focus infinity on it. It is not necessarily something you would want.

The threads on the thin cover are.

There is no problem with this adapter.

The build is solid and the attention to detail is superb.
