I would like to know that this power adapter will ONLY work with ring spotlight cam batteries, and will not work with ring stick up cam batteries.
It is not possible to add a USB extension to it.

The ring spotlight cam must be plugged into the adapter, which then must be plugged into the wall outlet. Plug the USB cable into the adapter and then into the wall outlet. I plugged the cable into a screwhole I drilled in the ceiling of my garage (caulked it) by snake the cable through a small hole I drilled. From the outside this is a very clean device, and there is no unsightly solar panel and it is much less expensive. The Ring app shows that the "Solar Status" is connected, since this cable goes into the solar charger port. Now be assured that the camera is getting power. Hopefully, these pictures and my review will help you make an informed decision about buying this model.

As well as watching local wildlife that uses my property as a shortcut to their destination, I have been able to observe them in a more intimate environment. The setting could be changed to remove them, but I enjoy the view whenever I see them. I supply all my units with a power supply and battery backup so I can see what happened when there is a power outage. Because Florida homes can build up significant amounts of humidity, I have a digital, wifi thermostat installed in my home. I do this since I want to be able to control the humidity while I am away. It gives me great comfort to know my Ring units are protected, even when I am absent.
It is great that these allow me to avoid climbing a ladder or reaching out of my window to change my batteries. The one that is mounted on my tree is not always plugged in. So I'll use the plug when the batteries die since I don't think the plug will be waterproof as it is. I like the fact that the 30ft provides easy access to an outlet.
There is a need for My battery changer has been greatly simplified since I no longer need to grab a studio ladder to do it. The device is easy to assemble. Just plug it in and screw it in place. My power cord is hung around the house until I can plug it into the home through the window or It's been in for 2 months and I haven't had any problems with it.
They are in perfect condition. There are no problems with the batteries.
It is a great length, and I like that I can maneuver them easily through and around doors due to their flat design. Since Ring Camera Batteries do not last long, it is totally worth it.
The solar panel on my Ring has been replaced. Because the solar does not receive enough sunlight in the winter, this option is perfect. I have a camera mounted high on the roof of a garage where it is difficult to change.
The program does exactly what the manufacturer says it will. The cable length is excellent and I am really happy with it.
