As per an online video, a 120 minute tape will give you 60 minutes of recording time if you are using SP mode when using Digital8.

The purpose of this talk was for her to discuss her long life, her experiences, and her lessons in life. It was a pity that the tapes were of such poor quality. They came out barely audible, and the quality of the video was poor on the DVDs I transferred them to. I did the tape recording and visited my mother in Florida while I was in Florida so I did not write sooner. The tapes I bought were of poor quality, so I wish I could get a full refund.
