I agree - There is no need to convert the tapes before using them in a Sony VX-
Is 16K okay? The 16K version of the game is not currently available nor viewable. There is only one MiniDV format. Unless you intend to record in HD, a Mini DV High Definition is the best choice. The use of tape is largely obsolete today. The ease with which they can be damaged makes them unreliable. I would suggest selling the camera and buying a HD Sony or Canon camera that records on an SD Card or a SSD Hard Drive

I love it.
Thank I am very pleased with the way it works.
Purchased these to go with the Canon HV30 camcorder. Everything seems to be going well. Trust is my strongest asset when it comes to Sony. This is the first camcorder I've owned. Before that was There is still a lot of life left in it. The Canon will probably need extra film this holiday season before I run out of film for the DSL cameras, since they have such good video recording. If this film is taken off the market one day, I will be worried. This is probably something I should start stalking up on.
Professionals will find these very useful. I continue to love these MiniDVs more and more as they have outperformed any other brand out there. There is no doubt that they are of the same quality as Sony HD MiniDV tapes! It is wonderful that they are convenient and easy to use!.
MiniDV tapes from Sony are always used by me. The tapes are very good. It's impossible for me to use other manufacturers' miniDV tapes instead of Sony's. Those who consider using the MiniDV format for recording may find it helpful to select the SP mode only when recording. It's best to stay away from the EP mode since it can artifact your video more than the SP mode.
However, I only observed the issue when I wanted to transfer the video Six of ten tapes that I used for a production job had defects, and each one of those six. It wasn't until I transferred the video to my computer that I realized the tapes were bad. I had thought it was my camera at first, but I had no idea the tapes were defective. Then I had one tape get stuck in my Sony VTR and I had to take it to my repairman, and the damn tape cost me $60 to fix it. The repairman had already taken out the tape and inserted one of his miniDV tapes, and it played just fine. However, when he inserted the same tape that had jammed the first time, it too jammed. There is no way to get my $$$ back because the tapes allowed me to record, so I guess I'll send back all of the tapes. It does no good to me or anyone else who sees them.
The Master Quality of a MiniDV is pretty good! A Canon camera (and/or lens) that record and play back well.
The product is of good quality. I'm happy with the.
