The item came with an older Canon s3300 digital camera which I purchased it to use with. The batteries 2 and 3 have been charged and discharged It did not cause any problems during each session. After being charged thoroughly, the batteries will last quite a while, and the charger will fully charge them in about two hours. The purchase was definitely worth it. I'm impressed with how well everything works and how high-quality everything seems to be. When it came to charging, one thing that seemed strange at first was how the battery should be oriented in the charger, but that was also easy to figure out after a while. The purchase of the second battery was definitely a cheaper alternative to buying a new Canon charging cord for the camera. In addition to a better charger, these batteries are good as well. . . for a great price! I have never really liked those delicate, micro-sized chargers.

You must use the usb cable in conjunction with the device if you plan to use a computer or laptop, be aware of the instructions which state not to use with them.
