A maximum weight of 300 pounds and a screen height of 100 inches are permitted with this monitor. It is built to a high standard. If it were available again, I would buy it. As far as how it will do outside, I cannot speak for how well it will perform in Vegas, but I think you should be fine.
As far as I know, I don't use it with any of mine. It just mounts to the back of the mount where the TV is mounted, and I can easily remove it when not needed.

There have been industrial racks that have been less durable than this one. My 95 lbs TV has been held for months using this stand and it seems like it's not there at all. However, the physical design is top notch, even with a limited cable management system. The unit was poorly packaged, and on one of the feet of the unit a plastic cover fell off.
