In the process of eating my original remote, my puppy ate it. When I put batteries into the device, it started working immediately. The setup is not needed! Could you please tell me if the people who gave reviews about setup issues have a television that is compatible? According to the reviewer who complained that there were no instructions on how to access the battery compartment, it has an arrow pointing to the compartment. That is the way to slide it. It's likely that you have to read written instructions anyway because you can't figure that out. For the person who needed a screwdriver, I don't think it is okay to have sharp objects at your disposal. There is nothing worse than drooling on your own. I seriously doubt my 3-year-old will be able to remove the batteries.

I didn't notice any damage to the remote, even though it didn't come with any form of packaging other than the mailing slip. Making it work with my TV proved to be the most challenging part. Taking nearly an hour to troubleshoot was my only way to connect the remote. After unplugging the TV and holding the on button for 60 seconds, I managed to do it after holding the fast forward and enter (I think) buttons down at the same time. I'm not sure if all the steps were necessary, but as a result of desperation and frustration, I followed them all.

This Vizio TV is in the list of supported models and will supposedly work immediately. My computer does nothing at all when I try to use it. It is not even possible to turn off the TV. The frustration is unbearable.

There is no problem with this remote control. It was ready for use once I opened it up and put batteries inside. The original remote of my Vizio was thrown in the garbage by my toddler, who bought it about 8 months ago. So I got this remote because I couldn't stand it anymore using the one I was using for a second TV. Designed to look just like the original remote, it works perfectly.

The original remote that I was using failed to work, so I thought I would look for a replacement rather than buy It was pleasantly surprising to find the price was so low, but I wasn't expecting much. It's the same remote that came with my TV when it was new. I examined it when it arrived and it was identical. When I inserted the batteries, the device worked right away without any annoying codes to enter. I am very happy!.

The only difference is a very helpful one. In place of a XUMO button ( what even is that? ), there should simply be a XUMO button. On the left (http//www. amazon. com/primevideo/), there is an Amazon Prime video button. That's great, because now I can access the three services I use most often with three dedicated buttons. While other users had problems with the battery compartment, I had no such problems, and all of the front buttons appear to be secure and functioning properly. The reason for getting this remote was that on my original remote, the center V button, which brought up the TV's available apps, would only work when my hand was tapped against the button. No such issue The remote control I recommend is good.
