They are not lying when they say that it is easy to use. It was after my original remote mysteriously disappeared (toddlers) that I ordered this new one. When I took it out of the box, I put new batteries in and it started working right away. It's just a little bit of programming! The setup could not be easier, I do not know what else to say.

One of the reviews down below me indicates that the remote stinks, is rough, and is not like the old one is just plain stupid. I just purchased a Roku TV from Hisense and this remote is exactly like the one that came with it. It worked right out of the box once you installed the batteries.

This remote looks a lot like the Hisense remote, so I was curious to see if there was any difference in weight, because I couldn't tell any difference in either visual appearance or texture. We recently had a problem with the original remote for our Hisense/Roku TV, so I decided to get this one instead. It arrived in two days. I took it out of the package, inserted a set of batteries, and it started working right away. A single line of programming is not required. The world could be a better place if all electronics were so straightforward! It is identical to the one we already had except that it comes with a pre-installed Channel buttons can be programmed, but we do not use them anyway. Since there is now a separate remote for him and her, we will have to use these until the original one dies.

About 8 months ago, it worked for about 8 months, but then the buttons started malfunctioning. As a result, first the directional buttons began to fail, then other buttons, such as those controlling volume, became defective.
