There is no need to program the hot keys, it works immediately. As I was searching for a program to disable the 1 click buttons, which I HATE, I found this one to be the only one that had this option. I was getting frustrated with the one that came with my TCL Roku TV, which was too sensitive and took me to Sling when accidentally clicked. Now, I'm not accidentally clicking onto Sling, which meant that it would interrupt my show. In addition, I find it convenient that the volume buttons are located on the front, instead of the side. It feels good in my hand and allows me to easily access all the buttons. I hope that it lasts a long time!.

In my opinion, the remote was delivered on time, as it says that it will immediately work as long as your TV is a Roku TV, and not a TV with a Roku stick. Once the batteries were put in, it started working immediately. My goal was to make sure the product did as it said, so I am glad I bought it. have also tried it on my other TVs with Roku pre-installed, and it worked just like on my other TV.

It would have been much easier to find another seller for less money if I wanted a cheap, poorly functioning knockoff. A RECENT UPDATE It took the seller about an hour to contact me, and he supplied a new remote for me. Compared to the original, the new one seems to be of much better quality. Buttons on this device have a better tactile feel than the first one, and they react more rapidly. For the exceptional customer service, I rated my review a 4. But I am concerned about the poor quality of the first one I received. That was a common complaint for many others.

The original was damaged and I bought this to replace it. The problem is that it does not work through walls or furniture since it is IR and not RF. We ended up ditching our Roku and buying an AppleTV, then programmed it to use this instead of the AppleTV's touch remote. We are totally freaked out by those terrible "instant access" buttons. Our TV in the den has a Roku box, so we bought another to go with it. Yes, it's the one you're looking for You can see your Roku from where you sit, so it is at least as good, if not better, than the original Roku remote (except that it does not have the headphone feature, which we didn't use).

Thanks so much for making this remote available to me, I am absolutely thrilled with When my cat knocked my original Roku remote off the table and onto the hardwood floor, an average drop of less than 3 feet, it broke. He still used it, but there was a problem with the cover closing all the way, so the volume buttons on the side are difficult to use. I also had to reassemble the buttons and the battery compartment every time he threw it. Since I know it will only be a matter of time before my cat renders the original totally useless, I bought this remote to replace it, since I will probably be leaving the original on the table, forgetting that my cat sees it as his I do not see any damage to the new one since my cat knocked the old one off the same table twice There was no way to separate it in the same way as the original. I quickly set it up and began using it. I simply plugged in some batteries, and it started working instantly (unlike the original remote, which I think I had to go through several steps in order to connect to my TV). Another great feature was the ability to preprogramme two channels or apps, which was very easy. The Netflix app and Prime are the two that came preprogrammed on my device.

The Roku remote is much better than the official one. It's rare to find me writing many reviews, but this remote is among the best I've ever had. You're not buying a $200 Harmony when you purchase this (the price is not high enough). Basically, it's a universal Roku replacement that costs $10. The official remote is certainly better, but this one is AMAZING. *The form factor is more comfortable to hold, the quick app buttons on the front are programmable and there is no LCD screen to contend with. We are more likely to use shortcuts to apps we don't use if we can set one to Disney and one to YouTube, rather than being unable to set them to apps we I'd like to mention one final piece of resistance, which is It is the simplest thing that Roku and the majority of OEM replacements fail to do Remote controls for volume and mute are placed in front of the remote, where they belong, not on the side, a position that seems to appeal only to On a remote, volume buttons do not appear to be on the side. My batteries fit perfectly into three different TCL Roku TVs, and I was able to use it without any problems. My next step was to program it for a Vizio TV and external Roku player, and it worked both with a Roku Express and Roku Express 4k+. It is really nice. The button click is better than the one on the TCL TV remote. I have had this for 6 months now and I am enjoying it. There is plenty of space for this controller and it's shockingly large.

I'm using it with a TCL Roku Series 5 TV. It works out of the box with no programming. My factory remote is no longer needed on this one, and I'm Here are some spare remotes you can use if you lose yours. The material does not feel cheap. It is also light weight and does not feel bulky. Although the buttons are hard coded, you have choices from a preset list, I am quite happy with it and I am pleased with its functions.
