Are there any AC adapters necessary for this to work? Or can it simply run off ?

There is no need for any other parts. Alkaline batteries such as regular Duracell or Energizer Max should be used. A non-profit organization There will be no solid display on an alkaline battery and the batteries cannot support the weight of the display.

Are you required to subscribe to your local phone provider's caller ID service for this device or can it bypass it?

Nevertheless, we pay an additional fee for the caller ID service of our local service provider. The answer is yes. A wire connects the phone to the unit and cannot be removed. Also, it has an extra wire that you can connect to the wall from the unit. It no longer serves any purpose for us. There is no enough emphasis on the caller information on the Display, despite its size. Even for an elderly person aged 82, such a picture is hard to see. It is my hope that this helped.

This is one purchase with which I am extremely satisfied. This is so awesome - I love it. Among my purchases, I am very pleased with this one. The new caller ID replaced an aged one, and I find it to be satisfactory as well. Even if you cannot see the face, you can hear the number on the screen when you are farther away. It is such a large, easy-to-read device that reads numbers and faces from farther away. At the time when the first call came through, I didn't know it would do this, and I was delighted when the voice directed me to the incoming number. There is no need to dim the light to view the large face. The unit I recommend would be an excellent purchase if you are looking for a new unit.

It is a favorite of my Grandfather's

One of my grandparents is elderly and has trouble seeing the caller ID he used to have, but no longer does. I received this item in record time, and it has been working well since that time. As simple as it was to set up, I was going to hook it up for him but he already had it done by the time I arrived. This device's big display and the fact that a lot of numbers are stored in its memory are very appealing to him. My recommendation for this product is to have everyone try it out.

There is no reason to apologize for the missing clock part

The package arrived on time and in good condition. However, when I opened it, the clock base The person on the other end of the line sounded skeptical at first, as if Next, he went to his supervisor for a discussion. They told him that they would ship the base out to me in 8 to 10 days This will take 10 working days to complete. That was shocking to me since it was they who made the error and must ship it immediately. If it didn't have a base to hold it on, it was worthless. My base arrived about a week and a half after I requested it, but I did not receive any sort of apology. These folks are not someone I recommend doing business with.

My order was for two units, but I received one unit Right out of the box, the first was bad

Several days after the second went bad, it began to spoil. In some areas of the LCD screen, there were dark spots and it became garbled to the point where it was impossible to read. It is also not back-lit as indicated - or at least it is not back-lit enough to be noticeable This was the only time it didn't illuminate when a call came This product should not be used.

The LCD does not have a blue light

A model similar to others with an orange background is shown here. Despite the fact that it looks pretty similar to the other large display caller - I ordered this one hoping it would be different A box containing IDs. There is no such thing. I'm getting the same call from Emerson large box - Listing has the same ID as others. Because I did not check the model numbers, I am to blame. This phone works as described and comes with voice announcement of the number, which I have quickly turned off since it is designed for a bedroom. It appears CloseoutZone, the company who submitted the item for sale, is deceiving me with its offer. Please visit us.

A lot of help was provided for her. The phone has a large display which lights up when a call comes in, and An announcement can be made using voice activation. It is the perfect solution for people who do not wish to have an answering machine. The hookup process is straightforward.

The large display seems to defeat the purpose rather than serve it. John from Chicago, if you are unable to see well, do not give up looking for a better product.
