Surge suppressors can be found at significantly lower prices, but I've found that these are very well made and well worth the money. I prefer the angled plug and recommend it over a regular outlet for a sturdy connection. The purpose of having one IMO is defeated if you have anything less than that. Cords with braided sections are a nice feature, and they're more flexible than cords with standard materials. This means mounting them under a desk like in my application is much easier since you can bundle them up and wire tie excess.

These are some of the prettiest surge suppressors I have ever been exposed to. This is the kind of product I would recommend without a doubt. I will buy these again if and when I need more.

Currently I have a heavy printer mounted on a stand for which a power outlet is nearby. An expansion outlet was added to allow printers and other items to be plugged in. Two cables, one featuring very deep plug ends and the other with a very thick cable, are very thick. In that case, I'd rate it as a solid 5. 0 The wall is about six inches away. The printer (80 pounds) and stand (very heavy) would always fall behind it and the only way to get them back was to move them. It's AGGGHHHHH! It's easier for me to use this over flat outlets because I'd still be able to plug in thick cords and plugs while I'm using this. I love the braided design of these power strips. They're durable and seem to be better sold than conventional plastic power strips. They're well built and great value for the price. At the moment, I have one left in my living room and am planning to buy one more. I have been using it for almost a month now and so far I haven't had any problems. I'm happy with how it turned out.

I saw on the description that they were "with right angle plug" A wide variety of applications can be installed with the two keyhole mounting tabs. I assumed it was mountable and naively assumed it would. In China apparently they use screws without heads or something similar, but as you can see from the photo, there is no slot on the inside for the head of a screw to grab on to and hold. What happened here is someone forgot to create a mold with the proper mounting slot. The purchase has now forced me to disassemble and make my own mount, something I've been avoiding for a long time. Neither the money nor the time is worth it.
