Does anyone know if the Epson Home Cinema 3500 is heavy?

There is an exact replica of that projector in my house. When I was completing my basement, I added additional 2 x 4's to the joists above to make sure that I could screw into wood with the lag bolts supplied

A half-way house There is a way to complete the job, but it requires additional purchase

Despite its flexibility and solid design, the projector side of the mount packs a powerful punch. The extension brackets are provided in ten lengths, and you should be able to find four that will fit the screw holes of If all the nuts and screws are tightened down, the bracket assembly sits flush and securely to the projector's bottom. The center of the support consists of a rotating tiltable suspension post that can be tensioned either manually or rigidly to allow for adjustment of the projector angle. The first phase of the project has been successful. Unlike the other mounts, the ceiling mounting plate and extension poles on this one connect to the suspension post loosely, and a pair of bent metal latches at the base of the post provide a safe Several tapped screw sockets are also provided for tightening down the plate or pole to the suspension post. The problem is that the projector can still be rubbed back and forth within loosely fitted rectangular latch slots even when these screws are fully tightened. Using this method could be useful since the diameter of the ceiling plate tube is the same as standard 1 3/8-inch Loudspeaker mounting poles with a diameter of 15 inches. The following link will allow you to read about a speaker mounting bracket designed to fit snugly and securely to this projector bracket's suspension post. You should angle the bracket's tensioning knob toward the screw hole in the suspension post rather than making contact with b. b. b.

I really like how easy it is to install and how smooth it works

The home we live in was constructed in the 1970s and has seven-foot ceilings A low-ceilinged house is necessary when there is a ceiling height of eight feet I did not need more than 20 minutes to install this unit once I gathered up the drill, drill bits, screwdriver, and pliers. I adjusted the first position of the projector a little to find the nearest ceiling joists as soon as I determined where it needed to be mounted. With the drill driver and a pair of 3-inch diameter hole saws, it should take a couple minutes I had to spend another ten minutes hooking up the mount to the projector before I was done. The instructions were simple to follow and the projector's parts were in separate pouches, making mounting the projector a In total, the distance from the ceiling to the bottom of the projector is only eight.

I was satisfied with this mount because it is inexpensive and compact

The projector stands 7 inches tall and includes enough adapters to accommodate a variety of projectors or heights. An adjustable gimbal, like a ball, is used, allowing the camera to be adjusted at Rotation does not become tight when the mount is adjusted tight enough to hold any of the swivels. Depending on how tight the rotation is, the swivel may not work properly. While it is tight enough to hold the projector, there is a possibility of a bump. Also, I like the ease with which the projector side of the mount can be detached for service from the ceiling part of the mount by simply pressing up on the projector and rotating it In case of an accident, there are two safety screws to prevent the connector from being disconnected accidentally.

It's a very flexible mount, but there are some limitations

Easy to install, I found this ceiling mount for a projector pretty straightforward. In my case, the difficulties were caused by my attempt to position the legs on Among the provided legs, they provide 2 "medium" (already assembled on the mount), 2 "short" and 2 "long. " I wish there had been a third pair of medium legs because this would have made it easier There were several combinations I had to try before I got one to work. The rest of the meeting went well until the projector was on the ceiling, at which point frustration set in. My first observation was that the swivel part of the toy doesn't stay in place. The projector kept tilting to the left, causing the projector to be slightly off level, and since the UHD60 does not have keystone correction, this is a crucial problem. In case you are doing this yourself and you remove several projectors and install them, be careful when doing adjustment because if you are not careful, you can easily drop your projector. My projector finally became level after I leveled it as much as I could, but a week later it began to tilt to the left again. When mounted in the ceiling and the projector is running, it becomes impossible to lock down the swivel part and find the sweet spot. One of the other things I found annoying was trying to put on the final two screws to completely secure the mounting portion of The Allen head screw on one of the four tiny screws over the course of so many times being removed and reinstalled had been stripped. A few adjustments and flexibility are included, as are extra screws. It appears to be a solid mount. This concept is great, but the final adjustments are a pain. The final setup could have been accomplished in just 30 minutes instead of 2 hours if the final adjustment had been performed while mounted in the ceiling.

It is no surprise that the quality is so poor at double the cost There were about six of us that needed a mount I was able to find the closest fixture to the ceiling, which was 8 inches away

A variety of mounting arms and screws are included with the mount to make attaching the projector a breeze. As soon as I began connecting everything to the ceiling mount, the problems began. To begin with, the adjustment holes in the extension tube were not drilled or aligned correctly, which prevented the large mounting screw from going through two It was next necessary to mount the tubes with set screws in order to keep them from moving. The thread of the mounting tube ended up tearing. To finish off the projector mount is mounted with two screws that are secured to the extension tubes with plastic inserts. These screws cannot be threaded into the plastic holes because the plastic has been inserted. It was difficult to find a mount that I could use in the length I needed, as the previous mounts were all either extremely close to the ceiling or too long, and this mount was about the only option available to me. Let's hope all stays where it should be, and I don't have to move the projector ever.
