However, once the upper arm was attached to the desk, I discovered that you could push down on it to gain full access to the screw (as shown in my photo). It's not intuitive, and the instructions don't explain why - However, I wanted to make sure that everything was clear. br>br>I don't usually write reviews, but I wanted to make sure that others weren't put off by the negative feedback because this is a nice, sturdy mount for the price. br>br>**BTW - You could not pay me enough to deceive others by writing a negative or positive review - Because I pretty much buy everything on Amazon based on other people's reviews. " I'm returning both of them, however, because the tension screw at the top that moves the arm monitors up and down is impossible to turn correctly. I had two more people try to adjust the arm so that it could move up and down, but they couldn't. The arm tension should have been adjusted by turning an attached knob. br>br>I like the build quality, but this arm is unusable in its current state. Customers rely on Amazon reviews to find high-quality products, so any attempt by a vendor to artificially inflate their product ratings by paying customers to remove negative reviews or paying for positive reviews should be frowned upon. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT because we should not be supporting a company that is unwilling to improve their product, harasses people who leave negative comments, and pays for positive reviews in order to deceive buyers.
Potential buyers should be aware that I returned the first one I ordered, and the replacement arrived with the same issue: The arm can't be adjusted in height. br>br>I'm honestly surprised that this product has so many positive reviews. Perhaps at some point you could reliably operate the tension release, but the two products they sent me were defective in this regard. br>br>There is a place where you supposedly can insert an allen wrench and adjust the tension, according to the instructions. The hole, however, is out of alignment with the screw and is cut off by the arm's angle. br>br>Believe me, I've tried everything I can think of to get it to fit and it just won't budge without damaging the plastic. br>br>I'd love to hear from someone who has found this product to be effective, but I recently came across another review that claims to have the same issue. I ordered two of these in the hopes that the second one would not be defective, but it turned out to be a complete disaster. The height adjustment is a nightmare; using the Allen wrench provided, it is impossible to twist. Because the Allen wrench is blocked by the arm, moving is impossible. br>This is a waste of money. The fact that this has nearly 5 stars is surprising. I will never buy anything else.
On Black Friday, I purchased two of these. Today I received the 34" ModelEI342CKR Pbmiippx monitors, which weigh in at 15 pounds each. The ergear arm drops despite the fact that it weighs 48 lbs with the stand (3 lbs). Although it appears to be substantial, it is not suitable for use with children under the age of 13. While filming the video, parts broke off and more emerged, but I couldn't upload two videos at the same time. This is something you should not buy! I hope this information is useful to you, and Amazon makes it simple to return items.

If your monitor supports it, there is a 0 cable pass through in the base. br>I love this thing, especially with a sit/stand desk because I can get the monitor at the perfect height for both positions.
The Acer Predator X35 weighs in at 8 pounds. I got mine today, and it's barely big enough to hold my Acer Predator X35. The adapter that connects to the monitor and allows you to tilt the screen up and down. The monitor screen tilts downwards despite the fact that the down is as tight as it gets. This monitor is estimated to weigh 22 pounds. This stand is rated for 26 lbs, but it only weighs 8 lbs. Although I weigh 5 pounds, I am unable to carry 23 pounds. 8Lbs. I'm going to return it and start looking for something new. It's such a shame because the price was so good.
