Questions & Answers

What are your plans for storing this?

I'm going to leave it the way it is. On my very own stand. I hope this has been of assistance.

Is it possible to rotate the clamp 90 degrees to accommodate a horizontal pole?

No, thank you - The clamp has a fixed position. Please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience this has caused you. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any additional questions. Thanks!

Could this be used to hold sheet music on an x-style keyboard stand?

Hello, we haven't used the GFW yet. SHELF0909 is a shelf with an X on it. While we see no reason why it shouldn't fit, the orientation of the shelf when attached to the stand may be an issue. If you have any other questions, please contact us at [email protected]. com. Thanks!

Is this something that could be done with a pole that is 2 inches in diameter?

I measured the opening against the Mic stand and found it to be exactly 2 inches wide.

All- Metal! Well- Made! Fastened firmly! So thank you, Amazonians, for purchasing one of these as well! BR>BR>SIZE: BR>BR>SIZE: BR>BR>SIZE: BR>BR>S br>I chose the 9" x 9" size for a couple of reasons:
1. ) convenient size capable of holding all those small playing essentials like capos, picks, etc. , but could also be used to hold things like an iPad for lyrics, instructional videos, or looper apps, or for holding a couple of pedals I like to adjust frequently. br>br>STURDINESS:
2. Sturdiness is one of the most important characteristics of a product. I decided that smaller was better, not only because I didn't want it to get in the way when I had a big acoustic guitar in front of me, but also because I was worried about it getting in the way. Free peace of mind that comes with knowing that something is securely fastened, doesn't wobble or jiggle, and doesn't leave you wondering if the weight of it (and whatever it holds) will cause too much imbalance to a mic stand, or worse. br>br>QUALITY: br>br>QUALITY: br>br>QUALITY: br>br>QUALITY: br>br>QUALITY: QUALITY: QUAL br>Though plastic would have been lighter, this thing feels very well made, with the only plastic I can find being the twist lever on the tightening clamp. The fact that the clamp is entirely made of metal is the only flaw I can see. It would have been nice if they had added some sort of rubber coating or padding to the inside of the clamp to prevent it from scratching or damaging whatever it was clamped to, but Fixing it should be simple enough. To protect my mic stand, I simply cut up a small piece of black rubber (which is typically used to line the bottom of toolboxes).

Has been doing the job without issue for a few weeks now

I'm using this shelf to attach an Avantone Mixcube powered speaker to the mounting pole of my computer monitor articulated arm so that it's dead center in my recording setup at ideal listening height. The speaker is around the age of seven. 5 lbs. Before I got it, I was concerned about the mounting clamp's stability, but it has proven to be faultless. free. The only thing I hadn't considered was that the tray will only be centered against the pole if the pole's diameter is greater than the clamp's maximum diameter. The tray will be further to the right as the pole gets smaller. I'd buy this again in a heartbeat because it's not a problem, but rather a visual artifact.

It's a great tray, and it's even better than I had hoped for

The 9x9 utility shelf is the subject of this review. On an e-bike, I needed a way to carry a tube headphone amp that weighed about 5 or 6 pounds. drum kit. This was one of the few clamps available that could accommodate a drum rack post (in this case, a Simmons SD1200). Getting this shelf clamped to a pole in the 1-minute time limit It's not a problem to live in a 1/2" neighborhood. br>br>While shopping, I was put off by the price of this shelf because it appeared to be a flimsy item, but the quality far exceeds my expectations: The shelf isn't flimsy or wobbly, it's welded to a sturdy frame bar, and the clamp and bolt are thicker than I anticipated. The clamp bolt has a useful rubber pad to aid grip while preventing denting of whatever you're clamping to, and the clamp handle is simple to grasp and use. Most cheaper trays of this size seemed to be designed primarily for mic stands, but I'm glad I spent the extra money on a tray that can mount to thicker poles and feels sturdy enough. It meets all of my requirements. This is the version I would suggest.

Solid, long-lasting, and roomy
5/5

I'm a keyboardist and singer, and I needed a place to set up my personal monitor station, so I purchased this. It performs admirably. It surprised me with its sturdiness. If the stand to which you're attaching it is sturdy, this thing should be able to support a reasonable amount of weight. It's connected to a K for now. It's a M keyboard stand, so it's built to last. I was also taken aback by its size. I can fit the monitor station (a Rolls unit) and my phone in there and still have room for other things; I use them to rest my IEMs between sets, but you could easily put a drink and/or some business cards on them as well.

Surprisingly sturdily constructed
5/5

See the photo to see how I used this as part of a solution to create a mobile workstation that is compact, sturdy, and versatile. I attached it to one of the risers beneath the main shelf to create a storage space for notebooks, scratchpads, manuals, and other items I'd normally keep on my desk but don't have room for on this one. So I have everything I need without taking up any extra space in my workspace. It's simple to put on, stays put, and gets the job done. If I find I need more storage space, I may purchase a second one!.

It's a lot more durable than I thought it would be
5/5

Despite the fact that I am a musician, I have a different use for this. My job necessitates a lot of mouse clicking, and my desk is set up in such a way that the backs of my shoulders become extremely strained. A mouse that was lower and closer to my lap would be more ergonomic. So I came up with the idea of using this product, along with a mic stand that had the top half removed, to make a computer mouse platform that would fit exactly where I needed it. My hopes for this shelf were not high, but it proved to be much more durable than I had anticipated and did exactly what I needed. I ordered a second one for my band's singer, who keeps dragging a chair onto the stage to use as a metronome. Which I despise, but now he has this shelf to put his mic stand on.

My needs are best served by a 9" x 9" utility shelf
5/5

It appears that Amazon combines all of the product reviews into one big pile. This is in regards to the 9" x 9" Utility Shelf in particular. br>br>For me, this is a one-of-a-kind solution. I use it to hold a wireless microphone receiver on a regular speaker stand. I was already hooked. The extension pole was wrapped in hook-and-loop tape (brand name Velcro), which clamped on perfectly straight and strong. If you're having trouble with scratching or a loose fit, try wrapping it in something similar before tightening it down. This thing is solid once it's tightened into place. Great product at a reasonable price. br>br>I can't speak to the weight capacity because my application was very light, but after installation, I gave it a good tug and it didn't budge or bow. I believe it is capable of holding at least 5 pounds, if not more.
