Questions & Answers
If your device connects to the antenna with an SMA connector, it will work. It should work if you've got a Sirius receiver. Because the SMA connector on all four of my Sirius devices is the same.
On the Sirius Boom Box, I don't believe it will work. It will work with Sirius units that have a mobile or home adapter.
On the end of some older Delphi units was a pink plastic connector. You're in luck if your Delphi antenna has a straight or 90-degree connector with a plain metal round connector. This extension is only compatible with a small number of satellite radios. Even the Delphi ones with the pink connector will work; simply remove the plastic housing and it will plug right in. I've used these countless times as a car electronics installer for over 15 years, and the quality is on par with anything else available.
The back of the radio is connected to one end, and the existing antenna end is connected to the other.

My "XM Radio Universal Home Antenna" had a cable that wasn't quite long enough to allow me to position my receiver where I wanted it. I connected this extension, wrapped the connection point in 1/4" shrink wrap tubing, and now have all the length I need and more. At Sirius frequencies, I expect 20' of coax to have losses, and while it's not a scientific measure, I had "three bars" signal strength before adding the cable, and "three bars" after.
It didn't matter to me that mine wasn't a right angle version - It was successful! br>br>I needed this to connect my new SiriusXM tuner to my wife's car's antenna wire. I wanted to use a new tuner instead of the factory supplied one when I replaced the factory radio. Unfortunately, the OEM XM tuner on her car is located in the back quarter panel area, rather than under the glove box, necessitating the use of an extension cable. br>br>The length and quality of this were both excellent. I was worried that I'd lose a sliver of signal. However, so far, the new combination has proven to be ideal. There hasn't been a single dropout yet, even in areas where the old system had a high rate of dropouts. The price was reasonable. br>br> I'm a patient listener who enjoys hearing what others have to say.
For my Sirius xm dock station at work, I needed a longer satellite cord. My satellite receiver in my window is the only thing that works. I was able to connect to my existing cord and plug into the back of my dock station to share my music in the lobby with ease. I'd buy it a hundred times. If you're in need of some extra feet, this is the item to get!.
There was no way to get reception in the house. As a result, I purchased this to extend the cable to the house's exterior. Everything went off without a hitch. Connections of high quality item of high quality Anyone who needs to extend their XM radio antenna to the outside should consider this product.
This antenna cable extension is compatible with my XM radio antenna at home. It enabled me to relocate the antenna to a window that was further away from my receiver but had better line-of-sight. Satellites from XM can be seen here. The response has improved significantly. The connectors have a good grip on their mating connectors. It is highly recommended.
A+. In a 2014 Traverse, I purchased this to extend the factory Sirius/XM antenna. The stock antenna was hidden behind the driver's side panel in the back. I added a satellite radio tuner to a Kenwood double din DVD/NAVIGATION system that I purchased aftermarket. Only enough line was available for the Kenwood satellite tuner (SXV200) to be installed in the vehicle's front. I bought this for my customer to keep the finished installation clean and avoid having a second antenna, and it worked perfectly; the cable isn't as thick as the Terk brand used by Sirius/XM. Plus, Terk extensions start at around 50 feet, while I only needed about 12 feet. This item should work well for you whether you need to extend a home or car antenna. This also works with older Sirius or XM receivers. The only exception I'm aware of is very old Pioneer units with two antenna connections; otherwise, this is money well spent.
Thank you so much for this product. We were able to optimize our spacing and furniture layout as a result of this. It only took a minute to "install. ".
I connected my satellite antenna to the receiver with this extension wire. Signal loss does not appear to be an issue. In fact, the signal appears to be amplified.
