There is protection for your desk surface if you are worried about it being damaged. The item on it does not slip, and neither does the item on it. In spite of this, I did without the mouse pad because this mat glides easily over the mouse.
Is it too obvious that the mat looks great on my desk? Excellent product and affordable price. It will not disappoint you if you purchase it without thinking twice.

As a recruiter for my company, I spend a lot of time working from my dining table. This mat looks terrific, can be easily stored when not being used, and makes teleworking feel a little more professional. There is nothing worse than having my beautiful table destroyed by moisture trapped in the wood because that terrible haziness is left behind. It was getting distracting using placemats, towels, and books in front of my computer, so I switched to this mat. This mat handles the heat of my computer and my morning coffee very well and leaves no evidence of my presence when I am finished or take my work home. The large and clean design makes it a perfect place to set your phone aside and keep it by your side while you type. Except that I find this device at a different location every time I look for it with my wife's computer. Given her lack of respect when it comes to my boundaries (only kidding), I'll probably have to purchase one for her as well.

I thought the product was decent for the price. When I looked at these, I had two major How bad are those wrinkles I see on some photos and will this feel absolutely cheap? There is no sense of cheapness in this. The quality of the materials is really impressive given the price. There are wrinkles with this, but they can be mitigated (at your own risk).

I bought both the 31 inch and the 36 inch. I've been wearing the 36" mat for two or three days and most of the wrinkles have worn off. There is a huge difference between the 31 inch and this one. Due to its location at my job, I am unable to take pictures of it.

After rolling out the 31" mat and using it for a while, the wavy wrinkles would not come out. There were only a few ripples in the corners that flattened out. The mat looks smooth if you have a bright light on your desk (and that is also why many of the photos here are clear). It is the little waves you will see if you do not follow the instructions. The photos I took show the two lighting conditions. (Please note that I took my photos AFTER I dried this, which you can read here. It was initially much worse than I had anticipated)

At first I was bummed out about this, but I found out a user had put the mat in his dryer for a short period of time and found that this helped. It worked very well for me to do this. It was much less obvious that there were wrinkles. The following are two notes regarding this matter:

1. You should not put it in your dryer for too long. I had it on normal heat for three minutes and when I took it out, it felt like it would have melted if I had left it for longer.

2. There is a chance that your mat will get small dents from this. am attaching a photo, but as you can see the mat had a small hole in it when I took it out. Initially, this was 100% from my dryer, but I expect it to go away over time. It is not recommended to dry your hair in the dryer if you are afraid of this. So, it isn't the end of the world, because I put my keyboard over it.

;Shortly, the smaller mats have stubborn wrinkles that don't seem to want to shrink. It should be noted that these fade over time, but you can speed up the fading process with a dryer (at your own expense). For the price, it is exceptional quality with a grainy top and a soft bottom. (it's almost like faux velvet. ) I have them on both of my desks, it's wonderful to write on, optical mouse works great, and they just feel good.

The pad is just as described - soft, realistic PU leather, and a suede underside to keep it from sliding. My desk is dark wood, and I purchased this in order to protect it. It also adds character to the desk. At first, I thought the price was going to be cheap, but that is definitely not the case. This is a great, sturdy desk pad I would recommend to anyone searching for one.

Rolls and packaging were well done for this item. The idea that the material would likely be rolled up and shipped made me nervous, that it could take a while for it to lay flat during storage and shipping. lies flat almost immediately.

There is a slight leather smell coming from the product, not as much as normal leather. does not seem threatening or intense to me.

The color looks great, a little darker than the photo. I'd assume it will be gone after a few days (because it's so faint). I went with the colored tiles in the first picture of the desk (I got brown). I dislike writing on hard surfaces, and this desk offers enough padding to improve your comfort from a hard surface, but it's not thick enough to make you completely pain free. (If you believe it will help in this way, then you should not have purchased it). If you run your mouse over it, you will notice that it has a nice texture. This is much better than that nasty mouse pad you have that collects all your dead skin cells and gums up the movement on your mouse over time. A good balance between friction and free sliding. While it may be good for gaming, I did not purchase it for that purpose. If i was being really picky, I'd like to see 2-3mm more cushioning. There isn't much underside grip, but neither is it slippery.
