While I am typing on my laptop, I rest my forearms and elbows on them. As soon as I started using a pair of Rests (one on top of the other), I discovered the padding was too thin for the padding. The pillows worked as designed for about six months, and now the foam has flattened out and is not comfortable at all. It is like resting your elbow on a flat piece of fabric. They flattened out eventually where my elbows/forearms rested, even when I flipped them from top to bottom and flipped from side to side. If the company used a higher-quality foam(thicker and denser), these would otherwise be perfect.
My elbow pain has been a problem for a long time since I'm a software engineer. I've tried using notebooks, pillows and rest to support my elbow, but nothing seems to work. I am very pleased with this product. It is extremely comfortable and has helped to reduce my elbow pain. The keyboard I've been using feels quite good, even after I use it for quite a while. When I am at my desk, I tend to use my controller more than my keyboard while playing video games. (Although I enjoy PC games, I prefer to play with a controller more often than with a keyboard. While using a controller, I'm often leaning forward into the desk, pressing my forearms into the edge, which causes those "pressure lines" after a while, which become quite uncomfortable after a while (and painful depending on how long I held that pose). As well, I purchased "Jelbows" (on Amazon), but after trying them for a while, I found that I instinctively went back to the "forearms in desk" position rather than trying to position my elbows on them. As I saw these around the holiday season, I figured I would take a chance. These are the things I was looking for. (It's not thick, but it has enough cushion to be comfortable) The top is soft and the bottom is like those rubber grip pads you cut out of sheets so things don't slip (such as shelf brackets, candles, and so forth). Since it is usually bigger and more flexible than a traditional chair, I can keep some on top of the desk, and use the bottom half to wrap around the edge of the desk, and keep it there using my arm. As long as you use tape/glue to adhere it, you need to tape or glue it with some sort of material. If you want to protect a desk corner or something, you could use a similar product as well. Overall, recommend if you are looking for something that kind of cushions a part of your desk, but I am not sure if it will work "ergonomic" as a wrist support for a keyboard. It is incredible. Buying this was a bad decision I made a long time ago. It has been on my mind for a long time that both this and other armrests would be useful. I am experiencing mild pain near where my arm rests on the desk and I have developed tougher skin. Throughout my move to my new home, I ordered some stuff I needed for my new office. . . I finally received these pads too. I CAN'T BELIEVE I WAITED SO LONG! It may seem as if the dimensions are large on paper, but in reality, they are the perfect size for my work space. My wrists were being strained by another device I used previously to support one of my elbows, but these weird elevations and angles soon became so uncomfortable that I stopped using it. In addition to alleviating any discomforts I experienced while resting my arms/elbows on the desk, this pad provides a soft surface to rest my feet on. Thin memory foam is sufficient to absorb weight with the feeling of being on thin air. The pads I have are quite comfortable to use. You may experience discomfort or pain if small wrist or palm rests aren't adequate, which is why this pad supports your entire forearm and elbow. The two of these computer pads I purchased for work and home are both of the same model. They are a great value and well constructed, so they are a good investment. In addition to using a Cintiq for drawing and writing, I work with a USB drive When I am designing for work, I am constantly on my elbows since I draw and the desk gave no support and caused discomfort on my elbows after a while. A long and wide computer pad like this one allowed me to rest my elbows on it fully and it allowed me to draw much more comfortably, since both elbows can rest comfortably on the pad. I only wish that it was available in black as it is soft and cushy and offers support and comfort. I am pleased with this purchase, I would recommend it.
