Does precisely what I was looking for. At work, we use a variety of dust plugs. That is correct. Dust, dirt, and debris are drawn to open connectors. We can easily get our phones dirty by putting them in pockets and other places. When I'm doing yard work, I keep my phone in my pocket, and the USB C connector gets clogged up to the point where it won't charge. It was time to do something other than tape over the connector or buy a bulky box case now that it had been cleaned out. These plugs are easy to put in and take out with a fingernail. The only drawback is that they are small and easily misplaced; however, I simply place the one that has been removed on the desk next to the charging phone and replace it when it is finished charging.
Because I keep my phone in my pocket, dust, lint, and debris accumulate in the USB port over time, causing the charging cable to not seat properly until it is cleaned out. This is a great way to keep things tidy. It's easy to use, easy to remove for charging, and easy to replace when not in use. It looks great with my phone case and, rather than having a hole in the bottom, it makes it feel flush and complete. It's one of my favorites to use. In addition, my Chromebook accepts USB drives. I attempted to plug it in there as well. It fits nicely in the port, but protrudes a little from the side due to the lack of a case, and tends to pop out when I run my hand along the laptop's side. Unless you have a compelling reason to use the USB-C port, you should avoid it. I wouldn't recommend it for that use case unless you have a C port on your laptop. However, it works perfectly with my phone case.
I have a Pixel 2, and I'd noticed that it wouldn't always charge, even when it was plugged in. I'd previously dug lint out of the socket, but this time I needed to perform a "deep clean" to remove a layer of adhered crud from the electrical contacts. "Surely someone has thought of a cap for these things!" I thought to myself. "Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, Once again, Amazon comes to our aid. These are very comfortable to wear and blend in nicely with my phone's thin case. They stay put until I pry them out with my fingernail before charging them. br>The only problem is figuring out where to store them when they aren't installed on the phone. They're not particularly big. This isn't due to a lack of design. Their size is determined by the USB-C connector's small size. C is for connector. I put it on top of my alarm clock so I can grab it and re-set it whenever I need to. In the morning, put them up.
They aren't going to stay in my phone for very long. I work on a production floor with a lot of dust, so I was really looking forward to getting these and using them to protect my phone. Unfortunately, because they fall out of my phone, I ran out of them in less than a week.
br>helps protect the sensitive usb port from water, dirt, and anything else you don't want to get into your phone's port. br>great for boaters (kayaking) in case you take an unintentional swim. in the same way that I did. br>The plug has remained in place and has never been removed. It won't do anything until I tell it to.
br>br>However, once I've plugged it in, I have to make sure I don't need to remove it for any reason (like charging my phone), or I'll have to spend the next 5 minutes trying to extract it from the port without having to remove the dust plug from the 3. Removing the case (which feels like shimmying out of a latex catsuit) and plugging in a 5mm jack br>br>This is a fantastic little doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo They came with a cleaning brush, which I'm overjoyed about.
For everyday use, this is a great protection. Perfect for keeping dirt out of the connector area (which happens more often than most people think). For light cleaning, I've added a brush awesome tool.
Because I'm not one of those people who rushes out to buy the newest and greatest device every six months, I like to keep my device free of dust and pocket lint. These dustcaps are flexible rather than rigid. They're the perfect size for my phone's c-mode. I've lost a few over the years, but it wasn't because they were loose or slipped out on their own; it was because they got caught in my pocket.
