I disassembled the device and modified it to fit a smaller ball. It also served as a replacement for one of my vents. I mounted my fast-charging cell phone charger on it after running the power wire through trim. As rock-solid as it gets. To be safe, I used aluminum foil tape to wrap the bottom of the unit that went into the vent. Love it. This is an excellent product.
Strong. It appears to be well-made, and it's the best option for a phone mount that fits in a cup holder. With the RAM stuff, it works fine.

The utility, versatility, and build quality are all excellent. I'm a big fan of the iBolt system. For the past few months, I've been using this part of the system. It has never spilled from the cup. It is extremely safe. Even on bumpy roads, the phone mount does not jiggle. Even while driving, you can adjust the clamp by slightly loosening, adjusting, and tightening it with one hand. It's not necessary to take it out of the cup holder. I used the extra small pads that can be attached to the base to widen it and make it fit my cup holder. br>It was simple to adjust the phone mount so that it did not interfere with the car controls, which are located in front of the cup holders. It held my small Kindle securely after I attached the larger tablet mount to it. That's high praise considering how heavy the tablet was. br>I also have the clamp bottom piece, which I've used in the car as well as at home. I gave one of the systems to a couple of younger YouTubers who I thought would benefit from having more mounting options for their phones. br>Recently purchased a car with an older style cup holder that was a metal ring that opened to the base it sat on. I had my doubts, but it turned out to be a huge success! As a result, I'll be placing an order for a second one for that vehicle as well. It didn't matter where I put my phone in my car; it always ended up in a place where I couldn't reach it safely. It'd be in the back of my purse, or it'd fall out of my cup holder or onto my lap and end up on the floor. (DO NOT attempt to retrieve your phone from the floorboards while driving. ) I can send you pictures of accidents to prove my point! )br>It makes me so happy when an American-made product exemplifies why American-made products are typically superior in design, quality, and durability. Any of the iBolt system components comes highly recommended from me.
