I use it to hold my Bushnell spotting scope steady and stable at my shooting range, and I believe it is the best you can get for the price and size.
Hopefully, this has provided you with some insight into your query. I say this because I don't have access to an e-mail account. marth. This tripod, on the other hand, is ideal for use on a tabletop. I'm not sure what size and weight your spotter is, but this tripod will hold a Vortex Viper and a Celestron Ultima 100 (very large and heavy) spotting scope steady. This tabletop tripod, in my opinion, is well worth the money. There are numerous adjustments available, and the scope remains stable even with a very large scope. I'm pleased with mine. I hope this has been of assistance.
Yes. The D7100 is about a pound and a half in weight. The tripod is capable of supporting the tripod's weight plus the lens, which is 5 pounds.

the RetiCAM vs. the RetiCAM Mini tripod from Tairoad. Due to its popularity, I first purchased the RetiCAM table tripod, but soon realized it lacked some key features and wasn't as rock solid as I desired, so I went back to Amazon to look for something else. My main complaints about the RetiCAM are: br>br>
- Only one side of the top panhead is solid, leaving the other "floating. " Under heavy loads, this could result in flex/give.
- When adjusting the height of the chair, there is no center column lock to keep the legs in place. Furthermore, the leg brackets and arms are too loose. The overall design is too shaky as a result of this, as well as the ease with which the legs' center shaft connector slides up and down.
- There is no hook to add to the tripod's weight for added stability. br>br>Tairoad mini tripod: br>br>Tairoad mini tripod: br>br>Tairoad
- With a more refined and stable design that includes the additional features, it solves all of the major Reticam issues.
- Has a much better primary handle that is thicker and more solid, feels better in the hand, and is also shorter than the Reticam's.
- Leg improvements include thicker/sturdier leg sections, larger rubber feet, and better leg clasps/locksbr>- Includes a larger, more surface-area quick release platebr>- Around 1, there is a slight increase in height. 5 inches tallerbr>br>There are a few advantages to using the Reticam:
- The top extender section's handle has a better arm shape and feels better when folded over.
- With two phillips screwdrivers, the legs can be easily detached and adjusted. I haven't attempted to separate the Tairoads yet, but it appears that it will be more difficult.
- The head can be completely removed, but I'm not sure if any other heads will fit because they might be too large.
The most important feature of any tripod is that it maintains the stability of your camera. This not only improves the quality of your shot, but it also prevents your expensive camera from tipping over. Even though it's small enough to fit on your desk, this tripod accomplishes this. br>br>This desktop tripod is the perfect size for most desktops, and it includes all of the traditional features of a full-sized tripod, including extendable locking legs, a smooth pan and tilt head, a quick release, and a telescoping head. It also has a bubble lens to help ensure that it is level. The legs are extendable, as I mentioned, but as a desktop tripod, I rarely need to do so because most desks are already at least 30 inches off the ground. For me, this is ideal for taking desktop Selfies or FaceTime videos without having to use my hands. br>br>I was sent a sample to review, and the quality of this tripod blew me away. It's lightweight, durable, and simple to operate. It comes with a convenient carry case, which is an important feature for me because I travel frequently. br>br>I hope this review was beneficial to you. Update: I'm happy to report that the company worked with me to resolve the problem quickly! I received the only model tripod with a defective QR plate out of all the ones they've sold in the last three years. They quickly and without charge sent me a replacement! Their customer service was extremely courteous, professional, and accommodating. They made the best of a bad situation! Based on my experience, I've revised my review. The tripod gets a four out of five. 5 stars! I really like it, but once I got my camera on it, I noticed that if I tilt the camera vertically, it tilts. It won't be an issue because I'll weigh it down when I'm using it! So far, I've been very disappointed. br>br> I've contacted the seller in hopes of reaching an agreement, and I'm hoping they can assist me. I couldn't wait to get my hands on this tripod because it's exactly what I needed for my macro photography. When I went to attach the QR plate to my camera, however, the "screw" turned out to be more like a smooth pin. To be honest, I find it completely useless. When I returned to the listing to look at the photos, I was pleasantly surprised. I've discovered that my QR plate is broken. A screw is visible in all of the photos, and the listing specifically mentions a 1/4 inch tripod screw. I didn't get anything like that. I'm hoping for a quick fix because I need this tripod for a project that I'm working on at the end of the week.
This item has two problems for me. This item, according to the seller, was covered by a warranty. There is no indication that the item is covered by a warranty. So I went to the website, but there was nothing there either. So "good luck" if you're having a warranty problem. The removable mount that is used to attach your device (in my case, a spotting scope) is, however, the most disturbing issue with this tripod. The scope's detachable mount was recently discovered. When you reattach it to the tripod with a friction cam arrangement, however, it does not lock in tight enough to keep the device (spotting scope) from moving back and forth. It's not a good idea to use a camera or a spotting scope because even the tiniest movement can cause the object you're looking at to change.
This tripod was purchased for macro photography as well as videography. The extremely short minimum height of nearly ten inches, combined with all of the standard features of a full-sized tripod, made it ideal for me. Because of the weight of the camera, ring flash / light, battery pack, and 40mm lens, I have to bend the tripod head down steeply, almost like a microscope, to capture my product; however, the tripod will not stand on its own and will fall over. However, this can be easily solved by placing a regular ole sandbag on one of the tripod's back legs, which I recommend purchasing along with the tripod for maximum stability. Aside from that, this product is surprisingly durable and well-made; I would buy it again if I misplaced it or needed a backup for a job. (This gift was given to me by my girlfriend. ).
