Questions & Answers

Is it possible to use this with an iPhone? What does it mean when it says "With Bonus Adapter"?

You'll need to purchase a separate phone adapter in addition to the tripod if you want to use it with an iPhone. A swiveling ball head serves as the "bonus adapter."

Is the Sony 6000 compatible?

If the Sony 6000 isn't too heavy, it'll be a good choice. Yes, it weighs 2 pounds/kg and has a tripod mount hole with a 1/4 inch thread. It is extremely light-weight. I'm using it with a Canon M series camera, and I wouldn't recommend putting anything else on it.

Which one would be better for my Sony A5100? Is it worth it to spend a thousand dollars or three thousand dollars? thnks?

The one thousand is ideal for the Sony A5100, as well as any mirrorless camera. Unless you want a larger tripod, the 3k is unnecessary. The 1k, on the other hand, is small and light, making it ideal for carrying. I hope this has been of assistance.

Is it okay if I use the 3k ballhead? My primary camera and lens weigh around 2 pounds. Will this hold up to a weight of 3 pounds or 950 grams?

I'm not sure, but I brought it for my Canon EOS M3 with the 18-55mm lens, and it works perfectly. I'm not sure if you can tell if it'll be beneficial to you based on that, but that's all I have to say.

It will break at some point
3/5

This tripod is excellent. It looks like it will last a long time because it is sturdy and well built, but it WILL break. I've already purchased two of them, and they both broke after about four months of use. The top head will eventually crack, and the legs will become extremely brittle. Joby needs to stop using plastic in his designs.

It's not as strong as it claims to be
3/5

I've had this mount for over a year and it's a great versatile mount. I've taken it on hundreds of miles of backpacking and used it several times a week. The issue I'm having is that it retains its shape for a few dozen uses before gradually degrading. It's fantastic as a tripod because you can move the legs around on uneven surfaces and still get a level shot. However, if you try to wrap it around tree branches, poles, or other objects, it will pop out of its socket and possibly break the seals. Fortunately, it's easy to reinstall it. It will, however, flop around like a loose limb once it has been broken. This isn't worth paying full price for. I'd hold off until the price drops. They shoe this thing grabbing around stuff, and it will fail you if you use it in the way they advertised.

broken in a hurry One of the tripod's joints has given out after about a month
3/5

It's still usable, but it's a lot harder to use. I'm not sure if a less expensive one would have done the job better. I was well under the specified weight limit with the camera system I was using.

I also use it for certain macro focus photos that I enjoy taking
5/5

I traded in my much larger, heavier, stiffer GorillaPod Focus, which can support up to 11 lbs, for this 1K model. I wanted something smaller and lighter to take with me when I travel, as well as to use for macro photography. For my purposes, the Focus was simply too big and heavy. This is a much better size, and it supports two of my three cameras perfectly. (My third camera is a regular camera with a lens, and at 2 pounds, it's just too heavy for this pod. ) 5 lbs). This one is well-made; the small ball head appears to be well-made and performs admirably for the purpose for which I purchased it. I was on the verge of ordering the 3K GorillaPod, but I believe it would be too big for my needs. Which GorillaPod you choose depends entirely on your intended use, and I wanted to keep things as small and light as possible while still having solid ball head support for my two main cameras in any position. Although it appears to be a bit pricey, my older, basic GP has served me well over the years (it could only support my smallest camera).

WITHOUT FLEXIBLE FAULTS, THE ULTIMATE FLEXIBLE TRIPOD I don't usually write such overly completely satisfied awesome product reviews so soon after purchasing a product, but this piece of simple yet extraordinary equipment has easily surpassed all so-called manufactured wonderfully amazing devices, no holds barred
5/5

As you can see in the photos, this flexible tripod can be propped and manipulated in a variety of ways to hold and support your video recording equipment. br>br>I was on my way out of the country for a property photo shoot, and I didn't have room for a lot of my bulky equipment, so I needed something that was simple to use and ideal in every way. When I first saw this on a YouTube review, I thought to myself, "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. " Well, this one has defied all expectations, pulling all the stops on ease, simplicity, light weight equipment, great value, and about a hundred other factors. br>br>You will not be dissatisfied with this unless this is not the piece of equipment you were looking for. The floating ball mount is a fantastic addition that is worth the price of admission on its own. So you get this incredible tripod, delivered exactly as promised, on time, at a cost that is more than worthy of all delivered, and with ease and flexibility that no one can match. br>br>As you can see, this customer is happy. This ball mount, flexible tripod has only good things to say about it. br>br>Amazing value. br>Amazing service. br>Extremely simple to use. br>It's incredibly simple to use. br>Extremely adaptable. br>Extremely easy to use. br>It's a fantastic design. br>I had a fantastic time using this equipment. br>Excellent light weight device. br>Excellent warranty. Everything is great. br>br> R, you did a fantastic job. Guys, D entails a lot of dedication.

Meh
4/5

After only a few hours of use, the device failed. Overall, it's a versatile tripod that works well in the environment I use it in (backpacking and hiking videos). After only 6 months of light use, however. At the very top, where it connects to the head, one of the legs easily pops out. For what they charge and how long this tripod will last. I'm going to say meh once more. I'm not a fan. When your leg falls off while you're carrying a 35-pound backpack and you have to bend over to pick it up, you'll be frustrated. I'm not sure I'll buy anything else in the future.

Leg ball cups are short-lived, lasting only a year or two
3/5

With minimal pressure and movement, one leg continues to pop out. Within six months of purchase, I began working on the project. I noticed cracks on each socket cup that receives the leg ball joint when I looked at it today. The spacing, I believe, is on purpose, and the o- encircle it with a circle However, there is a distinct gap in the space between two sockets. I like everything about this little stand, but I don't like the shaky joint and lack of quality control.

I was really impressed and had read reviews that this JOBY model starts to slack and lose its ability to stay in a position, and they were correct
3/5

You can get the JOBY to hold its position, but I'm a daily user, and now I can count the number of drops and time wasted trying to position the legs so that my phone doesn't topple over. br>br>I prefer the smaller size, so I skipped the larger JOBY's, but if the results are the same, I'm glad I didn't spend more. br>br>While it lasted, it was enjoyable.
