I'm overjoyed because it works so well. I'd like to point out something that should be self-evident, but after reading the reviews before purchasing, it appears that it is worth mentioning. First, the quality of the sound, picture, and screen is dependent not only on the converter's ability to do its job, but also on the device from which it is being converted. The RCA (yellow, red, and white) technology is old, and the items that still use it are, well, old. As a result, casting what my Wii can do to a new Samsung 65" 4K UHD TV will not be UHDTV. So, the edges aren't as smooth and crisp as they are in HD, much less UHD. The sound difference isn't as noticeable, but I'm sure it would be if I had the matching surround sound to go with the TV. All this gadget does is convert the Wii's data/resolution to a format that my modern television can understand and display for my viewing pleasure. It is unable to provide additional information or resolution. In any case, it accomplishes all of my objectives and looks/sounds fantastic for the price. I'm now happily Zumba-ing. ing in the comfort of my own living room Plus, the price is unbeatable!.
We occasionally need to watch DVDs we've borrowed from the library, and this worked perfectly to connect our old DVD player to the HDMI TV; it's a shame such an adapter requires power, but there's no way around it. Fortunately, we have a plethora of USB chargers from a variety of devices that worked perfectly to power this. The image appears to be of good quality. br>br>So don't worry if your HD TV lacks RCA inputs. Simply purchase one of these items, and "voila" - you're ready to go. You've got yourself a company.
My new TV didn't have any RCA jacks, which I didn't realize. I tried connecting it to my AV receiver, but no video came through. A sound could be heard. It took me about a minute to set this up. I would have given it five stars for picture quality if it weren't for the fact that it's not particularly sharp for a 1080p television, though this could be due to the WII. The sound had to be calibrated, but the video would not. The reason for this is unknown. In any case, the kids are having a good time and playing a variety of games. The item comes highly recommended from me.
I connected a VCR to it and an HDMI cable to an HDMI splitter, which sends signals from six different inputs to two televisions one at a time; even with the splitter, the picture from the VCR is better than when I connected it directly to a television with a high-quality RCA connector.
Green was supposed to double as analog video (yellow) on my TV's RGB in, but I only got B. W
. br>This little box solved the problem, allowing me to use one of my four HDMI ports. br>It works perfectly. br> br>And, to be honest, your 280i VHS tapes aren't going to deliver 4K quality. There's no way it'll happen. It is not the fault of this box.
Simple method of connecting anything with an RCA output (old VCR, DVD) to a newer TV with only HDMI inputs.
I needed a way to connect my Nintendo Wii to my HDMI-only plasma television. This is fantastic! My daughter was able to play her games in minutes after the setup was completed.
After replacing my HDTV last year, I discovered that some newer televisions do not have old AV composite inputs, which means that older game systems and video players can no longer be viewed or played. This device, on the other hand, allows you to reconnect them all. You can now play the Playstation 1, Super NES, or even a VCR. On a high definition television, the quality will appear crappy, but this device will allow you to connect them and see for yourself.
