This adapter was exactly what I was looking for. My TV's HDMI port stopped working, and the message "no signal" appeared on the screen. This is what I plugged into the red-colored outlet. yellow- I plugged my fire stick into the white ports on the back of my TV and now I have picture. To me, the quality appears to be the same - I was about to buy a new television when I came across this.

I had it connected to an app-enabled DVD player. The DVD player was no longer functioning. I couldn't find a DVD player that was affordable in my price range. The living room was wired for cable. When the installer arrived, he informed me that the older television would not work. My son emerged from the room with a miniature guitar. I'm not joking when I say that. I returned to Amazon in search of an adapter. This is the one I came across. I believe it was the fact that it was powered that made the difference. Today, I connected it, and miracle of miracles, it worked. The second TV is connected to the Xfinity system via wifi. It connects via RCA ports and requires an HDMI adapter, which this set lacked. This television was given to me and has seen very little use. Roko, I believe it would work with a firestick and all the extras you have to pay for. It comes highly recommended from me.
