How Our Score Is Calculated

Product Description

One HDMI input becomes two HDMIs, and three HDMIs become three HDMIs. A stereo audio output of 5mm is available. Extracts audio from a digital HDMI signal and sends it to your amplifier, soundbar, or speakers, among other devices. Without turning on your HDTV/Monitor, 5mm stereo and L/R audio can be sent to an audio receiver separately.
To get the best link effect, automatically detect the EDID of the signal source and display it; if no sound is obtained, set the sound of the signal source to PCM format.
HDMI audio extractor supports 4Kx2K@30Hz/3D/1080p/1080i/720p/576i/480p/480i, as well as 4Kx2K@30Hz/3D/1080p/1080i/720p/576i/480p/480i. Video color formats supported include 24 bit/deep color, 30 bit, 36 bit, and sync sound. HDMI Version 1 is supported. 4,Attain HDCP 1 compatibility Displays with DVI input are supported.
Normal operation does not necessitate the use of an external power adapter. Because each device's voltage supply is different and limited, we strongly recommend using a USB power adapter or plugging into the signal source's USB port for some devices with low power HDMI ports (such as the PS4, PS4 Slim, and other Sony devices).
Suitable for HDMI source devices that do not have a dedicated audio output, such as Roku or Chromecast, as well as Blu-ray/DVD/HD players, cable/satellite boxes, Amazon Fire TV, PS4/5, Xbox, PC/laptop, HD camera, HD DVR, and so on.

Questions & Answers

Is this device capable of providing a full (digital) surround sound signal, or is it only analog?

Our converter can only send stereo to audio equipment because the AUX interface can only send analog audio signals.

Will this work if the hdmi input is from a Chromecast and I want to use the RCA cable to send the signal to my receiver?

Chromecast's audio can only be sent to the receiver via RCA, and the video can only be sent via HDMI. As a result, you must determine whether or not this is the application you want to use.

What is the duration of the third? RCA stereo cable with a diameter of 5 mm?

The 3. The stereo signal is transmitted via 5 mm RCA, which is an analog audio signal. To avoid noise doping in the audio signal, we recommend using shielded cables with a transmission distance of no more than 3 meters and avoiding interference sources such as power lines.

Is it possible to use a 3.0? 5 audio and have it output in hdmi format?

Hello, only HDMI input is supported by this device. Your HDMI device can be used as both an input and an output port. Audio is in 5mm. Input ports of 5mm are not supported.

Quality Control Isn't Enough - The USB power port was wobbly when I received it, and when I opened the extractor up, the pins on the board were broken
3/5

Multiple capacitors and other hardware on the board were loose, and there appeared to be a lack of soldering and/or glue to keep the pieces together. I would not recommend this device because I only got it to work once.

Extract audio from HDMI video
5/5

I am so grateful that such a thing exists. Unfortunately, the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S lack an optical cable port, so you'll have to improvise a bit to connect the current generation of consoles. This is where this useful device comes in. I wanted to connect my Xbox Series S to my monitor and use my Logitech Z533 speakers for sound. A 3 was my first attempt. I tried a 5mm aux to USB cable and an RCA to USB cable in the hopes that one of them would work, but neither of them did. It wasn't as simple as connecting the Xbox via USB and the speakers via RCA or aux. An audio extractor was recommended in a couple of YouTube videos I watched. And, to be honest, they recommended a slightly more expensive option that cost twice as much. I chose this one because I assumed they all did the same thing or had the same problems. Because my monitor isn't 4K, I can't say for sure if this actually outputs 4K (the Xbox Series S is 1440p). I have two complaints: first, performance; I'm not sure if it's due to the audio extractor, but there are some issues while playing the game. Even if only for a fraction of a second, the image tends to freeze. I haven't bothered troubleshooting to figure out what's causing the issue. I've connected my surge protector to the USB cable that came with the audio extractor. I'm not sure if the problem will persist if the unit is powered from a different source. The included micro USB cable is also optional if you need additional power to get the audio extractor up and running, but I quickly discovered that even a simple setup like mine required it. It's also not very long, so you're limited in terms of where you can put it. It can only fit in one spot in my under-desk cable management tray. Aside from that, it's a fantastic product that I adore.

It does exactly what it says on the tin
4/5

This is an example of my application. I connected my Chromecast Gen2 to my PC monitor, but because the monitor isn't capable of producing sound, I purchased this audio extractor. br>br>I plug my Chromecast into this device, then into the monitor. Then, to get sound, I plug in an audio jack to a speaker. br>This is perfect for the job. br>br>I deducted one star primarily because of the sound quality. When I use Chromecast to stream Spotify, the music is a little soft and the bass isn't as strong as it could be. br>However, if I switch sources and connect to the same speaker via Bluetooth, the music sounds much fuller and the bass hits much harder.

The Amazon Fire Stick 4K 2018 isn't working, and the Fire TV Stick 2nd Generation isn't either - Works is a 2016 release
5/5

I was a little disappointed when I couldn't get audio on my 'Fire Stick 4K 2018' Model with PCM audio. Having said that, I tested it on other devices (PC and Gen 2 2016 Fire Stick) and it worked fine. br>I was tempted to give it a 4/5 because of the incompatibility, but the description didn't specify that it worked with the 4K version. As a result, I'm giving it a five-star rating because it performs as expected. Recommendations: br>br>
- After reading the other comments, it seems like using a magnetic USB cable might be a good idea to avoid putting strain on the USB port if you do need it. br>br>Resolving Issues:
- The most recent version of Fire OS has been installed.
- Set PCM as the audio outputbr> - Brought in a second 4K stick (Stereo output)br> - PC has been tried - a job well donebr> br> br> br> Tried the 2016 model of the Stick - a job well donebr> br> br> br> Automatic Dolby Digital Plus (I believe it's using 'Dolby Digital Plus OFF' because this product isn't compatible)br> When I turned off the power, it still worked using only the HDMI power.

The audio is flat and poor
3/5

When paired with a Chromecast, the audio is very flat, with a lack of mids and bass. Both powered monitor speakers and a HiFi receiver can be connected to a Chromecast Audio device. It's fine if you only need audio for watching TV, but it's a huge letdown if you want to listen to music on good speakers. It does, on the other hand, work with Chromecast and the new Chromecast with remote.

I was able to get it to work
5/5

Instead of using the tinny, crappy sounding speakers on the television I installed, I used this to send the sound from my Xbox through my camper's speakers. Everything on the TV is done with the Xbox - Games, DVDs, and streaming apps are all available. This is a very quick The sound quality has improved dramatically due to a simple fix. It's something I'd buy again if the opportunity arose.

Audio is extracted from a headless Chromecast 3rd generation
5/5

With this, I was able to set up a headless chromecast 3rd generation (without a TV). I didn't have to run another power cable because it was powered via HDMI. This is what I use to listen to music from YouTube and Spotify.

It does what it says on the tin, but use it with caution
4/5

Works as expected, but the sound quality from the Macbook Pro is significantly reduced. With my Macbook, I was unable to use it in passive mode. br>br>I think it shorted something in my projector after I tried to use it in passive mode (without plugging the extractor into the wall), and now the HDMI port on my projector isn't working. However, you can use it in active mode with other monitors if you first power up the extractor, then plug in the rest of the equipment.
