Questions & Answers

How do actual dimensions differ from imaginary ?

The cover fits around a 12" Fosgate Sub and was installed just fine. I don't have exact dimensions, but it worked well and covered it.

Can these be used on 12" ?

It was not feasible to use them with Fosgate's 12"

Will these work on dual 12" terminals?

You can use it with any speaker that is 12” round

Does this part fit the Kicker Comp 12-" Would you mind telling me how many inches it is?

They do fit decent on the comps since I have a pair of them and I haven't encountered any issues with them during the past 2 years I have owned

I find the price to be fair However, that is all I have to say
3/5

A post like this is a good example of constructive criticism. I was pleased with the arrival time of the grills, the pricing is good, and they come with all the parts (in the bag) as shown. It is VERY thin metal, so a certain amount of blow is likely to crush them or cause them to cave-in. Though I didn't expect 16 gauge steel, if it's their job to protect speakers worth hundreds of dollars, I am not confident that they are able to do what's supposed to be done. I did not like how small the screws for the clips and retainers are (sent with), with a fine thread that does not I've got you covered on the technical side of things I'll tell you what's weird now. I don't like how these things smell. Regardless of how they are transported, they smell as if they were dipped in diesel or kerosene then dropped And they do not smell at all of oil, not even a little. Most of the time, it's not the grates themselves but rather the gaskets/"sleeves" around the sides of the grills that are the culprits. It has been two days since I took them out of the package, and the room still smelt like I poured out a gallon of diesel on the floor as I left them. I hope to be able to install them soon, when they stop smelling of oil. As I am finishing a new cabinet, I do not want to put them on it because of the smell. Whatever the case may be Very cheap for the price (but considering the quality. . . " It would be nice if they could stop smelling bad soon or else I'd have to put them in the garage and not use them. You may also choose to go outside. The trash can is a good place for it.

It is worthless from start to finish
3/5

These are awful. I expected more for the price but they are way too expensive for the subs I'm using. I didn't want to spend that much for these. Their flimsiness leaves them vulnerable and will not provide much protection from a wide variety of things. I could not fit the clamps onto my cheap basic subs without using a spacer ring or they would push into the rubber. Once the spacer ring is added, the clamps will not work. Although you'd think they are not workable for subs in a car, they should be fine to use in a sound system for an indoor space, but think again because they are so flimsy and easy to bend that they won't provide any protection. The speaker is worthless, spend the extra money and buy a nicer pair so that you won't have to shell out more money in the future to replace your damaged speakers.

It's cheap, cheap
4/5

It may cost a few bucks, but it's worth it. This gift is inexpensive and free shipping so there is no way you can go wrong. If it were shipped in a box, I would pay $2 more. Several of its corners had to be bent back into shape around the edges after it arrived in my house in a padded envelope. Despite its cheaper price, it offers enough protection and has a nice appearance. In a Corvette hatch where there is a 12" sub, installed in the hatch area. Hopefully it will last a while.

Screws are too easy to strip and are not sturdy
3/5

There are three types of mesh This grill feels more like plastic than steel, and it's very easy to bend and twist. It does not matter what brand of screws you use because they will loosen their heads very The plastic clips broke with very little pressure on the edges, so I had to find replacement screws. In the seller, they look awesome, but you may want to change that a bit at the end They seem to be strong in the picture provided, but I would like them to be stronger.

This is a decently sturdy and easy to install product
5/5

This was bought for protection of the speaker on my home - Guitar cabinet made by me. Thanks to the included rubber padding around the edge, it does not buzz or vibrate, may be pawed by cats, does not muffle sound, and cannot be pawed by cats.

It is very cheap
3/5

This is cheesy. It's a good thing there are two of them for the same price as I ended up with black oil stains on my hands from using these. A much thicker basket would appear to be required by the mounting brackets. You can count on me to find a way. However, it is just a cheap deal.

This is a nice and strong dog
5/5

As far as I was concerned, the grill was too deep. As I flattened it between two boards, I molded it to about halve its height and then molded it to the depth I needed. I found it to be perfect.

However, they are flimsy in nature
3/5

The protection box has already saved one speaker from getting damaged when I was leaning it against something, but they are pretty flimsy and wouldn't take much to smash them.
