Can you tell me how wide the gap is? Are you able to tell me how tall the lip at the front is?

In total, there's a gap of 3/4 inch wide and a lip about 1 inch high I can put my double LPs as well as my heavier 180 gram vinyl albums in there.

Would someone be able to confirm the gap or the slot measures 3/4"? I appreciate it. ?

It's sturdy and reliable. Due to the black components I have on my pc, I painted it black. There is plenty of strength in it for holding LPs. It should work if you do double LPs, but I have not tried it. I can't think of anything better at this.
