It's possible to choose which service the light should sync with through the software Skype, teams, etc. The most important benefit is that it gives a visual indication of how available you are to others around The program works well both at the office and now at home. You only need to look at the light to know if I'm on a call, even if I'm not talking, or if I'm busy and have set myself to "do not disturb.".

Despite my best intentions, I completely forgot to order a stable light to match the fixture my workplace has been using. The fact that I made a mistake makes me happy My headset appears to offer greater flexibility at a lower cost. It looks bright, the different colors are noticeable, and it is compatible with pretty much any VoIP and video conferencing software I have used (between work, school, and various vendors), including Plantronics Hub. As far as a problem is concerned, there is only one thing to worry about finding out which package is asserting a light at any given moment. I have more than once thought I was "available", but the status will blink as if I were busy or on a call, and I will have to spend some time identifying why the status is misreported. We might see an API for this type of thing from Microsoft one day.
The item was received and plugged into the computer without causing any problems. I tried connecting to different devices but none of them worked. The device was unable to be powered on either by computer or power source. There seems to be a problem with the shipment.
The range of the wireless is terrible. I have since created 3 "studios" in my home between my wife and I working from home and my daughter's college converting to Teams, so we needed a specific way to signal, outside the door, how we are doing. We were pleased to find the Embrava BLYNCLIGHT Plus to meet our requirements. My company uses Teams and Skype for Business, while I am invited to meetings where other companies use Zoom and Meet. I was concerned about teams using Embrava's software, even though its software works for everyone. It was quite easy to set up. Plugging in the wireless dongle and turning on the light was as easy as installing software and plugging in the dongle. It was easy for the software to locate the dongle. No configuration was required for the light to connect to the dongle. I started having trouble with the BLYNCLIGHT when I placed it nine feet from the door. Light is coming in out of the straight direction, but the door is open Taking a look at the dongle from ten feet away, it had disconnected. In order for the dongle to work, I used a USB extension cable to bring it within five feet of the computer. The range is now increased to the point it works outside the doorway, even when the door is closed. It has also been reported that the BLYNCLIGHT has poor battery life, so I simply charged it at the wall.
My solution is effective as long as you keep the limitations in mind when ordering.
