This switcher does not have an rf port. There is no way to connect them unless the television has an AV input (red, white, or yellow).

First and foremost, is it close to any power sources, such as power cords, console bricks, or something similar? I'm not sure how much this will affect things, but it could. I used to have a four-port s- Although I was using an RCA video connector, I was getting a lot of checkerboarding on the TV screen (36 inch Sony Trinitron XBR), which was very annoying to see on such a good system. Because svideo and AV combo jacks send partial signal to the svideo cable and partial signal to the AV cable, I believe the problem was caused by internal grounding on that connector. br>br>After waffling for a few months, I finally bought this unit box after seeing it recommended online, and I'm glad I did, not only because I can now hook up 8 units, but also because the checkerboarding is no longer an issue. In all honesty, as far as I can tell, there are minimal differences in visual quality between AV and svideo depending on the console/system, and not having to deal with checkerboarding makes this thing well worth it! br>br>I've included a photo of it nestled among some of the consoles I've connected to it in the review. At the moment, it's connected to eight consoles: Sega Saturn, Sega Genesis/CD/32X, Panasonic 3DO, Nintendo 64, Playstation 1, Sega Dreamcast, Atari Jaguar/Jaguar CD, and Philips CD-ROM-ROM-ROM-ROM-ROM-ROM-ROM-ROM-ROM-ROM-ROM-ROM-ROM-ROM-ROM-ROM-ROM-ROM-ROM-ROM-ROM-ROM-ROM-ROM-ROM- The signal output with AV, as this unit does, vs. svideo, which I had cables for some of them, is basically the same for the majority of them, meaning they look just as good but now I don't have checkerboarding. Svideo is often sharper with better blacks around the edges, while AV is more blurry/fuzzy and bleeds colors more, but I can live with that and am very happy with this current product, which I would recommend to anyone who needs to connect multiple consoles to a TV with only four inputs!.

There is no built-in amplifier, so this is merely a pass-through device that will degrade the signal slightly. The internal boards' soldering was abysmal. Before using, I had to reflow all of the joints to ensure that they were all properly connected. Poor quality solder is used internally, and the connection holes on the board are far larger than the pins, allowing solder to flow right through them on some connections. Internal soldering issues are most likely to blame.
In this day and age of high-tech, it may appear to be a little out of date. Def HDMI everything, but if you have several "old-fashioned" televisions, Videodisc players, VCRs, and classic 8-track recorders are examples of "old school" video devices with composite video outputs. The box is quite sturdy in its own right. I will say, however, that the back plugs were a little loose. It still functioned, but the quality could have been a little higher. This allows me to connect a number of older gaming systems to a single rca port. I'm currently using all of the Jacks that this box has to offer. So, for the most part, I am satisfied with my purchase. I've had it for a few months and everything is still working fine after a lot of use.
