Questions & Answers

On the cable with the micro-USB there's another connector, but I don't know what it is What is USB?

The USB 2 cable is what you need. The Micro-Zoom lens must be used. The data are located at B.

Do I need to use more than six devices in order to make it work? What would you do with 5 fans, a CPU watercooler, and 3 RGB strip lights?

It would be great if you daisy-chained You can chain the strips so that only one input is used without losing You can "add a 90° angle" to each of them when setting them up to make it easier to differentiate. Two of my three (one with 12 and one with 15) make a C along the top, rear, and bottom of my case, but they are not connected in that fashion. Due to Chroma Studio's inability to rotate devices, I made myself a cheat sheet so I won't have to remember which is the top, which is the bottom, etc. or which is the beginning and which is the The three fans that I have are also Daisy fans 3-based recipes There are a few issues with the pin to ARGB cable... grumble), and Synapse read the 36 LEDs as 12 (one fan rather than three), thus the lighting effect is identical on all three fans. If you do something like below, I recommend it. If you want to add the same effect to both fans and the fans are placed in the same place, it may not be an issue to have two fans with the same effect. This is *br1 The Darling Daisy The chains are chained two ways Discussion at the watercooler 3 The following is what Fan 1 is saying "Fan 2" in a nutshell Fans 3, 6, and 7 It's Daisy - A chained fan 4 and a chained fan

Are there any restrictions on the number of controllers?

As the manufacturer responded, "yes" is the right answer, but it is incorrect. There is a statement in their response that states "You can daisy-chain" components together. Your question suggests you chain ARGB devices, but that's not exactly what was described. In current setups, the capabilities of more than one controller are not available, as with Corsair. You might want to do this in order to circumvent the maximum LED limits of your device, or perhaps you'd like to control the lighting more specifically. I am very sorry to hear about it.

Are there any other external strips you can connect? Do you want to add more RGB lighting to your desk, or do you want the outside of your computer case to have it?

If it has a 4 pin ARGB connector, you can connect anything. In addition, you can choose between a fan or strip mode and Rader Synapse will detect the amount of RGB lights in your setup automatically.

Despite some flaws, this controller is a good one
3/5

After watching videos on YouTube about this controller, I was really excited. ran the installation program as soon as I received it, started my PC, and then installed Chroma software to get my RGB system set up. This software is incredibly flexible and has lots of options to customize your RGB lighting. As for the MSI Gaming Edge Wifi motherboard I have, it connected to Mystic Light with no issues. One major flaw that I have not seen mentioned at all is when you shut down your computer. Your RGB settings will be changed, and you will see random color patterns and colors. Your computer does this as well when it is booting up again. Once you have logged into Windows and the Chroma software has had a chance to run at startup, your settings will load. I have never used an RGB controller before, so I don't know if other RGB controllers work right, but this seems kind of silly Some RGB connectors may also have a problem fitting into the slots because they are small or tight. As of right now, I'm using this controller without a webcam The Razer products and all devices connected to this controller work fine. I currently have AirGoo Neon RGB strips, an Enermax Aquafusion AIO, and an UpHere RGB Graphics Card Brace connected.

Since 2016 I've longed for this and have been waiting for it
5/5

It's been my goal to find a quality rgb controller without spending an arm and a leg for years, and this one is the perfect fit. With quite a few razor rgb products that I've collected over the years, I'm glad to be able to have them all synced together on one program. My favorite thing about synapses is how easy it is to use. In my opinion, Synapses never has been great and in my opinion it is still not. In the case of the Razor Firefly mouse pad which doesn't work with old versions of Synapses, as well as the newer version with the blue static flickering on and off, the only way to get it to work appears to be to turn down the brightness. It is really a RGB controller and that's exactly what it should My RGB Digital Starter Kit from PhantomTeks also works great with it. I connected three strands of led strips to phanteks, and then I connected the three-pin connector to the RGB controller on the razor, and it detected all three strands. This is the best purchase I have ever made. I have found it to be well worth the money.

I'm still trying to get it right
3/5

Computer engineer by training, I am trying to build a custom setup for this application. I hope you take my feedback in that light. Having a look at the documentation, I'm not very impressed. There is almost no documentation in the technical field This is not in existence for you to use. In order for the setup to work, you need strips that were manufactured with an integrated There are some others as well (WS2812B), as it is supposed to work with aRGB. My LEDs are not lighting up when I navigate between any other device on Synapses 3. I ran into an issue where the only way to get them to light up is to navigate between any other device on Synapses There is a tab called "accessories" and a button called "0". During this time, all of the LEDs will turn green for a few seconds and then The Razer support representative recorded a video and I started an online chat. They were waiting on some other people there to review a 3-day warranty. I will be out in five minutes. What I learned was that there is an idle time on their chat that will cause your chat to end if you are not interacting. It seems that this isn't a common problem, so I never got a resolution.

Support aside, if you plan to actually use this with out of the box lights, fans, etc, then you'll probably be fine. As so far as customizing the controller is concerned, you will have a very difficult time doing so. I am still working on that.

Don't do it
3/5

Here is a list of all the Razer products that I currently own so that you can give this review the attention that it deserves. I have several RGB fan controllers that I had to sand or cut down the sides of the connector to fit into the controller because the connections were too large. So, I had to sand or cut down the plastic on the connector to get it to fit. Additionally, this product is the only item in my computer build that uses Molex instead of Sata power. Sata power is becoming redundant, and this product is the only one that uses Third, this product does not auto detect with any degree of accuracy. Aside from 3 triple RGB fan sets, 2 RGB 24 pin and 2 RGB 8 pin wire connectors, MSI AIO, and a MSI GPU support bar, there's also a RGB bar on the front of the PC Neither a port nor an LED has been correctly detected as to how many LEDs it has. The main problem is that I have to manually set the ports on all of them. Forth, I have contacted both technical support and customer service. There is no possible way to have two of these devices on Both controllers will not be detected by Synnapse 3 as separate devices, and the second controller will be deactivated. There is no mention of this in the listing, and even in the questions, it is not addressed In fifth place, the slightest movement can break any item with a 3 pin connector, and that is an issue that can happen to all items with this type of connector.

It may be necessary to use JST SM 4 pin crimp/tools with razor chroma square pin headers
4/5

Razer's Chroma controller has square pins in the head, but a male plug I have on the leds that I have from Phanteks is round.

The controller works fine it even launches an installer when you plug the device in, which is kind of With my application, you will use a crimp kit (Dupont JST SM 4 pin connector) for the led strip. After connecting the led strip to the connector and concealing the pins for polarity protection, use epoxy putty to fill in the pin holes.
