It is perfectly possible to solder them, though we have not personally done so to make our own cables or plugs. *br>We are not the only ones who have soldered We have not tested the quality of the connection ourselves, so I cannot speak to it, but those that have have not had any complaints about the quality. The quality of these is excellent. My amp rig has never had a failure point because of banana plugs. These give me peace of mind that your amp won't fail if the cables connect to the speakers. With this, you'll never have to worry about loose plugs or stray wires causing a short. They're fantastic. I'm very happy with them.

In the item picture, one had red printing and the other white. The ones I received had red and black ink, but the letters were small and the ink was not faint so you could not easily tell which was black and which was red so you can hook it up incorrectly. Instead of the very small letters, why could they not have painted a clear band of black or red paint?.
Earlier today, I ordered a set of wires with Sewell Silverback banana plugs. Wire gauge I received a new amp and needed banana plugs for the other end of the wire. So I ordered these FosPower plugs and they are great. They fit snugly and have double locks. The other ends of the wire will be getting another set of these switches. It's a great product and I would buy it.
These banana plugs have a level of tightness that makes them stand out from the other banana plugs. It will take a bit of extra pressure to get them seated, but they are quite tight once they're there and won't fall out if brushed against casually. Despite the fact that other banana plugs were easy to push in, they didn't stay in nearly as well as these did.
It does exactly what I need it to. I connect them easily to the binding posts on the back of the amp, and the sound that comes from the speakers is good. Is not difficult to take apart and put back together again after attaching the wires. Other than that, there is not much Excellent value for the price.
