My response would be more intelligent if I had the time. It was bought so that I could fax and use my phone on one line. I haven't figured it out yet.

It's a good splitter in its most basic form. A few months ago, we stopped using our old house land line and got one line from our cable provider instead. With the splitter, we were able to connect two wireless phone systems to the new system, and then seven wireless phone sets throughout the house were now usable. The slitter was a lot cheaper than any of the other options, and it works.
There is nothing good about this. Every time they checked if it was there, they'd make sure it was. Occasionally, there will be a loss of service and the tenants won't realize it until they check the splitter/wall Jacks.
