I understand that you can't just use any cable to extend your Wi-Fi range. Your internet provider should provide you with a Wi-Fi router. This, however, was successful. I can now move it away from the number one. They gave me a ft area to work in.
So far, it's been a success! We didn't want to call our internet service provider because they would charge an arm and a leg for a service call, so we only needed to move the router a few feet to a more central location.
If the cable company were to come out and extend the cable, you could save money on service charges.
I got this to connect my TV's cable connector to an antenna. It was difficult to connect because the connectors were difficult to spin, and the reception was the same once it was connected as when it wasn't. br>br>In the end, I got a new one.
Nice cable, but the picture and description are deceiving. It appears to come with a female to female adaptor, but it did not come with mine. I'm returning it for $10 and giving it another shot. Grrrrr.
I connected it with this extension cable and had immediate connectivity issues. It would work for a short period of time before going down, and then it would work again before going down. Finally, I was able to get down and stay there. br>I've had cable for a long time and know how to ensure that the connections are secure. Everything worked perfectly again after I disconnected the extension cable and plugged back into the wall with my original cable. br>As a result, this is clearly a faulty cable, and I would not recommend buying it. Take a look around.
Because the coax inlet was in a different room when I moved in, I had to purchase and run coax cable across the room. This cable is capable of delivering gigabit internet! It's working great for me!.
' The female-oriented component of the product is included. I wanted to put the cable modem on a UPS away from the utility room and needed a female connector to finish the job, so that was a good start. A coax (RG6) cable connects one end of the cable modem to the other. Ethernet is on the other end of the spectrum. I extended the path from the utility room to the central basement area using the supplied connector, then connected the cable modem to the other end of the RG6 cable. Perfect; I ran numerous WiFi quality tests and found it to be just as good as before. I give it a thumbs up.
