It would be my first pick if I had the chance to purchase it again.
My current setup involves plugging a DVI monitor into a DisplayPort video card, not a DisplayPort video card into a DVI monitor. Therefore, this review describes how to connect a DisplayPort monitor to a DVI video card. recently got a new video card that only had one DVI out, one HDMI out, and three display port outs. Since the nature of my work requires me to use three monitors, I use them all. Among the three, two have DVI compatibility and one has HDMI compatibility As if by design, this allows me to plug a DVI monitor into my video card's DisplayPort, so I can use a third monitor without a hitch as if it was always meant to be this way. I'm pleasantly surprised for the quality of the picture to be comparable with any other DVI display and for the ease of plugging both ends into It does not even need to be recognized what kind of screen it is. Upon handling the cable, I feel it is very sturdy, and the area of the cable on the DVI side is thick and wide. The corner of the cable on the DisplayPort side also feels well-made. I would recommend it, especially if you're on a budget like I was when I bought it. We are still going strong after almost a year. *Update 7/27/20
Still going strong after almost a year. The two I purchased for other projects have even been purchased again. All of my customers now purchase the same brand of cable if they need one They work because they do what they need to.
The reason for my mistake was that I didn't read carefully enough, so if you are doing anything at 60hz, you should be fine. If you have high refresh rate monitors that go above 60hz, it will no longer appear in the settings. The rest of the system works well.
I work with the following company In this case, the LCD monitor is an older Optiquest LCD with a DVI connection, and it is recognized via the DisplayPort connection on the port replicator by the E5440. When starting a picture, it appears to be stable and recognized every time. It was one of the reasons I chose to get this port replicator since I didn't want any ugly display port to DVI dongles hanging off it. As a monitor cable, the cable is typically of a high quality and should survive most abuse. I've become the envy of my colleagues at work with my 3 monitors!.
Using this method, I was able to connect my new work laptop to an old monitor so I could use two monitors at once. Teleworking is so much easier with this!.
This is me The following monitors have VGA and DVI inputs - All are older models (2014) from Dell I have a new Dell PC (2018) with a pair of Display Ports and one VGA video output. What do I do to connect for a dual monitor setup? There are two Display Ports on this computer The following. The DVI converter cable is exactly what you need to prevent cumbersome inline converters from becoming an obstacle. The monitor's maximum 1920 x 1200 display setting is only a few steps away from plug and play with these and I do not have any problems using them at that resolution. Be sure to keep these tips in mind before you buy This is not a bi-partisan issue In other words, it has to be a directional connection, from the computer's Display Port port to the monitor's DVI. I have not read any reviews complaining that it is the other way around.
wife gave me a MSI 2060 RTX video card for Christmas, I had to get one of my monitors this cable so that it would work with one of my monitors. I was able to optimize my graphics setup as a result. It was a good price and it was a good product. The cable is highly recommended if you are interested in saving a few dollars to get your system up and running.
There's not much to say about these except that they work as described and are inexpensive. EVGA 2080 RTX. I ordered three of them to attach to it. They replaced the cables, but they didn't quite fit as the plastic shrouding around the connector prevented the cables from seating correctly. After a thorough diagnosis including updating drivers and adjusting all sorts of settings it took close to 30 minutes to fix the problem. There was just a millimeter or so of difference in cable depth, which prevented the cables from seating After I ordered them, they arrived the next day, and I instantly had the monitors come to life after connecting them.
