Product Description

This replacement AC power cord fits most models of a desktop computer, HDTV, LED-lit monitor, ceiling mounted projector, powered speakers, laser printer and more. It connects from the equipment socket to a standard three-pronged 120V AC outlet receptacle.
This handy 2 pack allows you to keep a spare cable to keep in case another power cable fails or you need a different length Match it with a computer and monitor to create a tidy installation More convenient than adding an extension cord to a short AC power cord
In contrast to most 18 AWG power cables that come with your equipment or are sold as replacement cables, 16 AWG gauge computer power cables are rated for 13 amps to support common power requirements. A heavier gauge, but flexible cable is more reliable and safer than 18 AWG power cables.
A sturdy and safe NEMA to IEC cable with a standard NEMA 15-5-P grounded power plug and a single, shrouded female IEC-320-C13 connector rated for 13 A/300 V
You can purchase with peace of mind knowing that the warranty and support will last a lifetime

Selected User Reviews For Cable Matters 2-Pack 16 AWG Heavy Duty 3 Prong Computer Monitor Power Cord in 6 Feet, UL Listed (NEMA 5-15P to IEC C13)

This IEC cable is of the highest quality, and comes in a convenient length! They are excellent IEC cables of great quality, which are a much better size than the cheaper, shorter ones that come with lighting fixtures from brands like ADJ or Chauvet
5/5

Our equipment must be plugged in and out on a daily basis as a mobile DJ service. In our experience, OEM cables often begin to show visible signs of wear and are prone to failure just too quickly. Heavy gauge cables are molded with quality connectors and are durable and hold up well to daily use, while still giving the user the ability to coil and disassemble them. It should be able to uncoil repeatedly without becoming tangled. We can run cables farther by using the 15' length, which reduces the need for extension cables, which speeds up setup . . . . . I'm tearing up It is important to our customers that we have no downtime. In the market for lighting and consumer electronics, we regularly replace most OEM cables The equipment we have now is audio. Whenever we need cables, we reach for these This is the purpose of the choice.

The 2 year update of Musicians Rejoice
5/5

In addition to playing bass, I am also a photographer. Then I help set up the drums, and then wait for the guitarists to finish setting up before I set up the stage. Working around drum sets and guitar amps has been a challenge for me for years. I try to find a good spot where I can reach the power outlet when needed. It's over now! I picked them up and the struggle is over. So far, I have only had these for a short time, so I cannot attest to their durability, however, they feel sturdy and have a nice feel to them. Unlike the average power cable, this cable is much thicker. It is also great to have a fifteen foot long power cable. My smaller stage can be set up just about anywhere and I can reach a power outlet with no problem. Adding a correction Nearly two years after original purchase, the cables have been holding up well and are still in good shape.

What you are looking for
5/5

Since I began buying these a few years ago, I've bought about 50 of them. When I sell used music production equipment, I frequently need these types of power cords for use by myself or to accompany equipment I am offering for sale. Their solid, sturdy design makes them ideal for use with studio monitors, audio interfaces, synthesizers, mixers, and DJ equipment they always work well and are very sturdy. It seems that they are of a higher build quality than most original power cords that come with new equipment, making them essentially a better alternative to a lot of existing cables.

I also want to mention, in addition to the quality, how reliable and quick the seller is with shipping these products. The last pair of shoes I ordered arrived at my door on a Monday afternoon after being ordered on a Saturday morning. I have always found this service to be very prompt, very efficient, and there have never been any hassles.

The update was made after a replacement cable was installed
4/5

In the first instance, I had a problem with the cables as described below, which was rectified by the support team when I was contacted No charge. It is a joy to have the cable work well with both my VESA monitors and works as expected. I agree - A review of an old publication It was intended to power my Vesa mounted monitors so I would be able to better route the wires, however the female end of the cable doesn't fit tightly enough into the monitor, causing them to unplug when moving them. When I was trying to get the cables to fit better, there was also a slight arcing sound. It would be better to buy cheaper, longer cables, than risk my monitors. *By looking in the holes, I can see the metal contacts are bent slightly inwards on both wires. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with the issue, but it still seems odd.

The product was of high quality and was packaged securely
5/5

The cables are excellent and of high quality. These strips are used to repair guitar amplifiers and other electronic devices to do so, I cut off the IEC plugs and strip all the insulation back to the wires. As such, I used to use 18GA cords, also purchased from Amazon, but they were of less quality than It is easy to strip the black insulation off the cables because the interior of the cables has a powdered substance. There are two cables in this package (they are in pairs) and each one has its own bag inside. The cable is extremely well packaged, and it came in a thick outer bag as well as the other cable. It has a small plastic bag that was left over (I used it to store my strain relief tool and wire crimpers). You may want to consider these if you need a 16 Gauge cord for any reason.

You should not buy them as they do not fit standard pc/monitor sockets
3/5

As I just got these today, I discovered they do not fit very well in my monitor. I don't know what's wrong with them. When you wiggle the cable, the power to the monitor is lost. The cables are loose or won't fit all the way, so the monitor loses power when you move them. The cable I had previously fit snugly, and I also tried a few others I had laying around to confirm it wasn't the monitor. It does not matter whether you move the cables or not, the monitor will stay on. Having these new ones will enable me to raise my desk while working. All I need is the length to raise it while standing. When using these cables, it won't do me any good to move the table up since it wiggles the cables and the monitor falls off. These will not fit well for some reason I don't understand. Cables like these are usually used for computer and monitor connections. This is a great product. I liked the 15 foot length, and the quality seems great. Due to the apparently non-violent nature of the protests I can't recommend buying these since they are standard ends that don't fit into standard computers or monitors.

The cables should be of good quality and heavy duty
5/5

The cables should be of good quality. In order to minimize the use of extension cables, etc, I bought these cables to replace the cheap, short, thin cables that came with my Presonus Eris E8 speakers. The cables are 16 AWG and not too thick nor too thin, with a maximum current rating of 13A. I need cables that are just right for what I need, the 18 AWG is too thin, and the 14 AWG is too thick, these cables are just right for me. The cables provided by "Cables Matters" have never caused any problems for me.

You can count on them
5/5

After returning home to Lost Wages after moving, I am ready for another big upgrade to my desk setup. Around one of these was included in the shipment. This version of the 5 was bought along with some backlights (see the review for more details) and re-branded Two desktop computers are set up. We spent a lot of time and effort pulling back the desk, cleaning, adding the lights, and connecting the longer cables A cable management solution can prove immensely useful when managing longer cables. They can be carefully hidden behind a variety of objects and barriers when they are long enough. There may be too many constraints with shorter cables. If taught wires are impossible to conceal, one could be in trouble! There is no way cable spaghetti will be acceptable in 2020. The above image can give you an idea of what some possible outcomes might be. It should be the end of the cables by tomorrow. The time and investment required for cable management are well worth it! I give this film a 4. 5 out of 5 stars. Five out of five seems to be the case here.
