The whole thing is made of plastic, but it looks solid and appears to work I wonder where the gold plating is, like the one they advertise, and why gold plating would be needed for an optical connector in the first place.

There are cables costing north of $500 that are rated as audiophile grade. On my system, I have a few expensive cables, but not the expensive ones that cost $500 or more. According to the hype, I believed it. that I'm older and wiser, I can speak with more authority. There is no sonic difference between this $5 and the $5 if it is connected to the same streaming device and DAC. I am currently using a 00 cable and many others. I consider my music to be musical just like yours, however the soundstage is still "up front. " You might want to avoid cables and wires and save money by not believing the hype. Don't waste your money on cheap speakers opt for high-quality speakers instead.

As one of the most affordable options, it works well. I was satisfied with everything a product does for me. Due to the fact that this is an optical cable, I am not confident in judging it. Neither the expensive versions nor the more affordable versions have a difference in sound quality. So that it will not be stressed by anything other than age, the cable simply hangs behind the television. As long as it works, that's all that matters to me.

Toslink (optical) cable that functions well for a cheap price. In or around this price range, it is better than many. How much of a music fan are you? The universe you describe is not real. What about using a sound bar when watching TV? Most people will be able to use this.

It's all right here in this cable A thin flexible cable and very few (narrow) connectors are all that I really require in an optical toslink It seems to me this has all the features I'm looking for - (I've never understood why optical toslink interconnects have such beefy terminations)
As for the cable itself, it is thin and flexy and it is clear of my TV wall mount bracket. It is easy to snake the cable through the arm of the wall mount. Everything works as it should. This optical-toslink interconnect is a great deal at an even better.

This morning, I received the product. I am concerned about the connection since the sound so far is perfect.
