Selected User Reviews For Avegant Glyph AG101 VR Video Headsets, Patented Retinal Imaging Technology MOPS 3D Virtual Reality Goggles HDMI Connecting

It is generally noted that these devices are a waste, because they cannot give the true reflection of the experience
3/5

There is absolutely no truth to that. Put your 13" laptop at arm's length, set the resolution to 720p, and you are ready. Place a small hole in the center of a piece of black paper. Try holding it up to your eye so you can see most of the screen, but the edges of the screen are not visible. Having a friend go on the laptop, go to the brightness settings, and shake the sheet of paper you are looking through while doing so. All of this should be performed with a 1lb weight on top of It is as if you had been there yourself. This device provides a much better experience compared to Google cardboard. It is more enjoyable to interact with the virtual boy. I'd say the best thing about the headphones is that they sound great, but they are uncomfortable and heavy, so you can't even use them.

Do not put yourself in a false sense of security

cinema headset that costs more than $100 is going to be a waste of money. It was obviously a bad idea, but I needed to give it a shot You don't have to worry about me returning What do you think about my offer? I would probably sell them on CraigsList for $40. I like the picture, but it's too small. As others have stated, the picture is clear. Generally, movies are surrounded by an intense black border on all sides, which makes it difficult to see the actual image. It is not comfortable for me to wear the headset. My head feels like it is being squeezed by a plastic vice. Ignore the notion that you might be able to do any PC productivity on this. There are too many small things in the world. Would it be worth your time to try it? It's not really that important. The Oculus Go is grainier, but I still prefer watching movies on it than on a TV. A larger picture will give you a deeper immersion, as will a more comfortable fit. The sound is ok but if you don't plan on using these more than 5 minutes before selling them, it's not worth it. At best, they are a novelty in 2020, and at worst, they will end up as As this is an honest review, I am slightly sad about saying these things because I have been wanting a pair of cinema goggles forever. The designs are pretty cool today, but 20 years ago they would have been interesting. This week's update I have changed my mind about the product after using it for several days. It took a few more tinkerings with the head strap and eye adjustments (more on that in a moment) until the comfort and image quality became so good I prefer to use the headset instead of an external monitor to work on my PC. While using the Blender tutorial and the program to complete an entire tutorial on YouTube, I switched back and forth between the two. The only thing you have to know about Blender is it contains TINY menus and buttons, but I was still able to find The image was not pixelated like it would be on a virtual reality I could make out every detail of the image. YES, you can actually use the headset to do actual work on the PC, not only play games or watch movies. The information I was looking for was right here. An added bonus is that it can be done while you are laying on the couch with a keyboard in your lap. A standard keyboard and mouse are attached to a small board with velcro and I can lay it all on It would be amazing if you could work while you were lying There is no reason why it cannot be done. What I first thought was a small image is not actually that bad once you get used to it. Over time, it seems to get bigger and bigger. You get used to it and it seems larger. Here is a reference image from Blender. One of the things I like most about this headset is that you can focus the lenses so that no glasses are needed. My head is spinning trying to figure out why most headsets on the market do not allow you to do that! The headset won't be sold after all, so no sales. Most likely, I'll use it more than once a week when I want to lay on the couch, but still be able to work.

On these units, there is a lack of quality control
3/5

In the beginning, I would like to say that these things look fantastic and their display is However, the HDMI input on the first AV receiver I received died within 10 minutes of plugging it in. The rest of the system still works, but HDMI is not available. That would be of little use without it. I spent about half an hour watching a movie on the second one I got, and then the whole thing shut down. There is no power, zip, zilch, nothing. The battery took 4 hours to charge - so what do you say - 2 out of 2 bad - quality control seems to be lacking. The displays may be amazing, but they aren't worth it.

It shows great promise, but it would be more useful to see some Investors will be happier with the concept than the game itself - According to the company, it is a game changer
3/5

Though I wanted to love this video headset, it was apparent that all its flaws were not worked out before it went on sale. Even though the images are clear and sharp, we need to improve them It was only by looking up ahead that I could see the entire field. I had trouble reading the menu items - It really does not matter what you do- In the corners or at the edges. A headset like this cannot be used for computer use. Tasks where text and graphic elements are displayed near edges or corners may require a clear and useful rendering. There is no 720p resolution that can reproduce fine detail and there is some chromatic fringing at the edge of the field of view. However, it is likely that the manufacturer is aware of these problems What will be required to produce this interesting product in the future, I will give you the resolution and size of the display field of view 3) Make it clear in promotional materials if the system cannot be used for productivity, i. e. You may also be interested in design, computer word processing, image editing, and photo editing. These are not really for just watching movies, if that's all you want to do. In spite of this, after I made the decision that I would probably return the DVD, I decided to give it up after a few Lastly, I would like to add A long time has passed since I looked for the suggested app for my computer, and I have not found it. A manufacturer with abandonment of support for this product must have happened in 2016, based on the signs. I was very frustrated by that! During the adjustment and readjusting processes, I spent more than an hour By adjusting pupillary spacing, left and right eye focus, headset angle, strap tension, and various nosepieces, I was able to solve my problem. I don't need any correction because I don't have to wear glasses. While this product is clearly not ready for release, its display technology shows a lot of promise, despite its inherent problems that may be difficult to resolve. I gave it 2 stars because, although the product is not ready, it shows great promise in terms of its display technology.
