Questions & Answers

Stations that are purple?

Rather than being a fool, I will respond to your query. This particular yagi/LPDA might be able to get a few of the stations to transmit in purple. The tropospheric conditions will have a huge impact on your reception, whether you're on the fringe or not. 2 channels on the edges

Installing in the attic is something I'd like to do. Is there a specific direction in which I should aim the antenna's long axis?

Visit TVfool.com for more information. Go to com and type in your address. A map of all the TV transmitters in your area will be displayed. Aim the antenna in the direction of the stations you want to listen to. You may need to add more antennas to point in different directions, so make sure your roof has a tall mast, at least 5-feet tall. 6' in height Either use a splitter to combine all of the coax cables from the antennas into a single coax cable that will connect to your TV set, or use a splitter to combine all of the coax cables from your antennas into a single coax cable that will connect to your TV set. You can also use twine if you want to be more creative. Connect the antennas together with a lead TV (ladder line) at the same time as you connect the 75 ohm Balun transformer (2 wires on one end, a female F connector for the coax on the other). This eliminates the signal loss caused by a coax splitter in your antenna system.

For which color zones does this antenna have a rating? Except for ChannelMaster, why is it so difficult to find out?

The zones are labeled "yellow, green, light green, red" in the box.

I have a stupid question: Is it necessary to run the cable to the basement if I install this in the attic and my splitter is in the basement (which serves 5 TV sets)?

Antenna is the correct spelling. Balun with a resistance range of 300 to 75 ohms Quad shield coax is a short, high-quality coax with four shields. amplification Coax runs 50 feet to the basement or wherever you want it to go. splitter in to splitter for televisions The amp should be as close as possible to the antenna, and the splitter should be equidistant from all TVs. You don't want the amp on the far end because it amplifies and pipes all of the noise picked up along the cable run to the TVs. You save money on cable as well, allowing you to purchase the best cable available. Also, ensure that the entire system is properly grounded.

The best antenna I've ever seen! Location: Mt
5/5

Baldy as seen from Irvine, CA (Orange County). Wilson, 45 miles from Los Angeles, is mounted in the attic of a two-story house. home with a story Earlier this year, I made the decision to cut my ties with Cox Communications. My original plan was to use a Winegard Flatwave Antenna 50 mile, but it performed poorly in the first story and was only acceptable in the second. When I first got this RCA Yagi Antenna, I put it to the test by connecting it to my family room TV on the first floor, and I was able to pick up 130 channels without aiming it anywhere! It already outperforms a flat active antenna! br>br>As previously stated, I installed this in my attic and connected it to a 100-foot RG-58 cable. 6 coax runs to my distribution box, where it is split into four outlets. My Samsung TV displayed full strength on all channels when I checked the signal strength. There were no signal drops during the winter rain/wind, and no additional boosters were required. It even survived the 110 degree F weather we had this summer. br>br>Please rate this as Helpful if you found it useful; it encourages me to write more reviews. Thanks!.

An incredible antenna, a true 5-star product
5/5

stars. This antenna deserves a lot of praise. A true 5- stars. br>br>I've been looking for a good OTA antenna for the past ten years. We rented an apartment near a busy road for two years. Over the course of those two years, I experimented with two different set-top antennas with digital amplifiers. There's no such thing as a good signal. When a car drove by the apartment, one of them even went silent. br>br>In our current home, I've experimented with a set top antenna in a vaulted living room for the past eight years. It's equipped with rabbit ears, a digital amplifier, and a fine-tuning knob. When the fine tune adjustment knob is perfect, the antenna works ok on specific channels, but it never provides 100% signal. The adjustment knob for the lower channels is different from the one for the upper channels. The signal would cut in and out frequently, especially when we were watching a show. br>br>I got tired of the signal cutting in and out during the World Series. Before buying this RCA Yagi antenna, I did a lot of research. br>br>The antenna came in its own box (there was no Amazon box). Inside the box, there was no padding, but it wasn't necessary. The antenna is made to withstand the elements. It was easy to get ready. All of the pieces should be rotated outwards until they click together. For shipping purposes, the anenna had some oil on it, but it easily wiped off. The transformer leads connected easily, and the included mounting hardware and mast were sturdy. br>br>I decided to mount the antenna on a plant shelf in our bedroom, where it would be hidden when visitors came over. I pointed it at the mountainside, which is home to all of the broadcast towers (I'm about 25 miles away). The bedroom is adjacent to the Living Room and shares a wall with the television. The coax cable (not included) was run down the wall into the crawl space and then back through the floor behind the entertainment center. I connected the coax to the television and performed an automatic channel scan. There were 54 digital channels discovered during the search. I'm not sure how many I used to have. The networks that we most frequently watch are NBC, ABC, CBS, and FOX. br>br>The end result astounded me. 100% signal on nearly every channel (the tv has a signal meter) The only channels below 100% were the high (30-minute) channels below 100% were the high (30-minute) channels be numbered 1 to 51 1) channels that I don't watch in the first place. I wasn't using an amplifier with this antenna, by the way.

Since the installation, the channels we’have been 100% signal 100% of the time we’ve been watching have been 100% of the time we’ve be I'm kicking myself for not purchasing this antenna earlier. br>br>Please note that the antenna does not include a coax cable. I didn't mind because the majority of antenna cables are of poor quality. I bought a high-quality coax cable made in the United States. He also had an oily coating on his antenna. It was easily removed with a quick wipe. This antenna is the answer for anyone looking to cut the cord. Don't squander your time on antennas that aren't worth the money.

I'm sure you'll get a signal if you put it in a bank vault made of solid steel
5/5

In the application that I'm using it for, this has a stronger signal than a ClearStream 4V. br>br>I put this antenna in the most inhospitable situation possible:
- Between my house and the broadcast towers, there isn't a hill, but a mountain.
- The towers are 22 miles away, but with a mountain in the way, even the ClearStream 4V, which costs three times as much, would have signal issues at times.
- With every indoor antenna I've tried, I get exactly 0 channels at my location.
- It's not on my roof because my HOA prohibits any antennas from being visible. I was about to fight it by citing the FCC's rules, but I decided to try this first. br>- The antenna is about 4 feet off the ground and is surrounded by walls, as well as a number of large trees. Look at the image below.
- I haven't changed or amplified the antenna in any way. I'm using some random Coax cables I had on hand, and I have no idea how well they're shielded. Here's how it turned out: br>br>
- Every local channel has a signal strength over 70% and is clear with no glitches and is clear with no glitches and is clear with no glitches and is clear with no%
- On both UHF and VHF, this performs admirably. With any antenna I've owned, I've had trouble getting NBC in the Phoenix metro area. It's my most powerful channel when it comes to this.
- I'm getting a signal strength of 45% on Tucson channels 112 miles away somehow. This is mounted 4 feet off the ground and surrounded by walls once again!
- There are no glitches or interruptions when watching Tucson channels. The signal may be affected by a storm.
- I had a 40% signal strength on NBC from 22 miles away when the ClearStream 4V was mounted in the same place. This antenna costs a third of the price of the original and provides a stronger signal with channels as far away as 112 miles! br>br>I was skeptical. I saw all these people installing it on their roofs, living near the broadcast towers, and gushing about how great the antenna was. I couldn't have put this antenna in a worse situation than putting it inside a solid steel bank vault and expecting it to watch TV, and it performed admirably. It is recommended that you purchase it.
