Questions & Answers

This may be a silly question, but isn't this the mount and antenna? It says mount in the description, not antenna with mount?

The answers given are for antenna packages with multiple antennas. Some models include a mounting mast, while others do not. You must carefully read all of the descriptions.

I have Comcast cable and am wondering what I would need to connect five televisions to this system. ?

An antenna combiner made specifically for this purpose is the proper way to connect two separate antennas. Reversing a splitter can cause ghosting, which can be avoided by doing so. It's also a good idea to use a pre-cleaning agent. The best of these is a Televes with 5G filtering. br>I have a three-antenna system, the third of which is a Stellar Labs VHF only ultra high gain. I used to get 19 stations per week, but now I get 56. Do not believe B/S advertisements claiming 100/150/200 mile reception; terrestrial limitations limit actual rooftop systems to 60 to 70 miles, but by using 30 feet or higher towers and high DB gain antennas, you can extend that range with well-made antennas. not junk. For the best antenna advice, go to YouTube and search for Antenna Man.

Is it possible to simply add another Clearstream C2 with a conversion kit if I already own one?

Yes, I have a Clearstream 4 pointing one way and a Clearstream 2 pointing the other way on one pole, both connected to a signal splitter in reverse (into the out connections), then into a signal booster, and finally into the house. I did the same thing with two VHF antennas on a different pole, and I now get over 30 digital transmissions per day. Without having to move the antenna rotor every time I change channels, I can get HD channels. This is how I solved the problem because we live in a valley between several broadcast antennas, and it works perfectly.

What is the difference between the C2 antenna and the Clearstream 4 antenna, aside from the price? They both express themselves in the same way. ?

The number of elements and overall size are the most notable features, while the word extreme is also noteworthy. Our location was 50 miles away from the broadcast antenna, which was the maximum distance allowed. In addition, I wanted the unit to be mounted in the attic. If you're going to be outside for around 25 miles, the C2 would be fine, but I'd go with the C2. CJM with the addition of an element and a mounting bracket. br>Here's where I see the distinction: br>Direct C2 - If you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, try using the words There is no antenna mount included. br>br>br>br>br>br>br>b CJM - Antenna mount and an extra element are included in the package. br>Direct C4 is an acronym that stands for "direct communication." There is no antenna mount included. br>C4 Direct- CJM - The antenna mount is included.

31AUG15br>Purchase Date: 31AUG15br>Purchase Date: 31AUG15br>P 98br>br>My mother was tired of DirectTV, Comcast, and AT&T. T bills were increasing, so she asked me to buy her this antenna based on positive feedback from family members. I combined the antenna and the mount in my order. It took me about 10 minutes to put it together after receiving it, and another 10 minutes to drill it into the house chimney. After that, my mother abruptly terminated her TV service and began receiving approximately 60 channels, all of which were free, crisp, and clear (ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, Weather Channel, and so on). There's no need to spend $100 per month on television. You can also use a cable splitter to connect the line to multiple TVs. Rain, snow, and cloudy weather had no effect on the quality or performance. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> 15FEB17. Keep an eye on things
3/5

Only UHF frequencies are supported by this antenna. Right now, I'm very disappointed. The picture quality on the stations I receive is excellent. What I didn't realize is that this antenna only receives UHF signals, and the CBS affiliate in my area broadcasts in VHF, so I'm unable to receive any CBS stations. Despite the fact that the bullet points say CBS, knowing it might now work would have been helpful. I'm not getting any FOX affiliates, either, but Antenna Direct customer service says it's possible the antenna isn't high enough. ABC, NBC, and PBS are all crystal clear, so Fox appears to be in the same boat. They now want me to buy an amplifier to boost the signal, and if that doesn't work, I'll have to figure out how to raise the antenna so I can get Fox. There's a lot of tinkering going on for something that appears to be so simple. Finally, a word of caution or a footnote: before purchasing this item, check local stations. I could have bought a uhf/vhf antenna for an additional $40. UGH.

I live in a small town about 60 miles from broadcast stations and have access to the best of the best
5/5

On the internet, I looked up the best antenna. I looked for the best reviews and weighed the benefits and drawbacks before deciding on the ClearStream 4 Antenna with Mount, which I purchased along with a Winegard LNA-100. To increase the signal strength, use the 200 Boost XL Digital HDTV Preamplifier. I ran outside shielded coax cable to it and hooked it up 30 feet up on my garage. To connect to the Winegard preamplifier, I used a short coax cable that I had around the house. I connected the preamplifier to an Extreme 1GHz splitter, which I used to connect two TVs, one for my Gazebo and the other for the shop. br>Ensure that your televisions are from 2010 or later and have a digital tuner. Analog televisions from 2009 and earlier must be converted to digital using a converter box. Only three stations were clear during the day and five at night when I used the tuner on both TVs. As a result, I purchased the VHF Retrofit kit for the ClearStream 4 on top. The kit was simple to install, and I used it to replace the tuner on both TVs, saving money. Then I switched the wires between the ClearStream, the kit, and the preamplifier, and it was much better. I tried this for two days and couldn't figure it out until I noticed that the coax cable that came with the VHF Retrofit Kit had a longer wire that protruded from the cable, whereas the one I had didn't. I purchased this short cable from Walmart, only to discover that it is not shielded and is only for indoor use. Both antennas and the Winegard preamplifier must be connected with two short coax cables. br>Wait, there's more! br>Wait, there's more I went through my shop looking for another short shielded coax cable with wire protruding from it and found one. During the day, I connected it and received 11 channels (ABC, CBS, NBC, and FOX), which is incredible. I'm looking forward to seeing how many more channels I get tonight. The right cable makes a difference, according to the lesson learned. It's not always the unit you purchase that causes problems; it's often the people who install it. I'm laughing right now, but I wasn't laughing at the time. ClearStream 4 has exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend it in conjunction with Winegard LNA-100. If you live out in the sticks like me, you'll need a 200 Boost XL Digital HDTV Preamplifier to boost the signal.

Cable TV is no longer an option
5/5

With an antenna, you can watch crystal clear HD TV for free! In 10 minutes, you can put it together, and in 5 minutes, you can put it up in your attic. Make your way to antennapoint. com to figure out which way to point it (you enter your zip code and it tells you which way the transmitters are pointing from your location). It was 163° away from my house in my case, so I used my phone's compass to point it in that direction). br>br>Plug this into the cable TV line that feeds all of your cable outlets throughout the house, and you've got TV in every room. My cable company installed a $20 booster in the attic, so I used it. I figured it couldn't hurt. br>br>I get 30 channels, all of which are crystal clear. The major networks (ABC, CBS, NBC, and FOX) actually perform better in HD than Comcast ever did! I'm so relieved that I'm no longer paying $1500 a year for mostly useless programming on cable TV. Shows like Honey Boo Boo and the Kartrashians (which I have never watched) don't deserve to be supported by my monthly Cable TV bill, so I'm reading more and being more productive now. It's really sad what some Cable TV stations have turned into "entertainment. ".
