This is my second headset of this model, and luckily I've bought the extended warranty each time. When I tried to mute the button, it would mute/unmute/mute multiple times with just one click, and then I had trouble adjusting the volume. When I changed the volume by moving the switch up or down, it would occasionally make a loud screeching sound and disconnect from the base. I'd have to plug the headset into the charging base, wait for it to connect and start charging, then take it out and plug it in again. When this occurs during a call, it is extremely inconvenient. br>br>The headset was only replaced under warranty, and the base was kept the same. The second headset started acting the same way with the mute/volume button after about 1 1/2 years, so I'm about to have to warranty it again. I'm glad I have the warranty, but I'll be without my headset for at least a week. When I send it in, it will take two weeks. br>br>Aside from the recurring issue, I really like the headset. It has great sound quality, a long range, and is easy to wear all day. The battery life is also excellent.
This replacement headset is a great addition to my office and works perfectly with our existing system; however, I have deducted one star due to durability issues; this is the second time I've had to buy a replacement headset. I get about a year's worth of use out of each of them. The sound stopped coming through the earpiece on the first headset. I went through all of Plantronics' troubleshooting and they recommended replacing the earpiece (thank you so much to the customer service lady who suggested shopping for it online to get a better deal). The small tab that holds the angle of the small ball with the earpiece attached broke off on the second. The headset is still functional, but I have to re-adjust it every time I move my head too quickly, which is driving me insane.
I'm relieved that I didn't have to repurchase the entire set. It only takes a few seconds for this headset to connect to your old base. This wireless headset is essential to my (work) life. The variety is incredible. I'd like to see a little more battery life. It does not last for the entire ten minutes. The work shift is 12 hours long, but it is only 20 minutes long. 30 minutes of charging in the middle You'll make it through the day. This headset brightens my day at work in a frantic pharmacy. While on the phone with customers, I am able to multitask. Don't second-guess yourself; just get it! You'll be grateful to your neck and body for it. For those who are always on the phone, this is a must-have item.
It has a tendency to snap off and break, which I believe is a flaw, but they otherwise function well. It's possible that you'll want to purchase the warranty as well.
I need to put the earpiece in my ear as far as it will go. This is a replacement for my original headset, which I thought I had misplaced. The only issue is that it does not fit my ear properly, causing the mouthpiece to move away from my mouth, causing people to ask me to repeat what I said because they believe there is a problem with the connection. The earpiece must be pushed deep into my ear, and the mouthpiece must remain close to my mouth. The person on the other end of the line always assures you that it is much better. The disadvantage is that it hurts my ear when I do so.
We needed to replace this piece because a worker transferred to a different department, and since Covid allowed her to keep her headset, it worked out perfectly.
Plantronics headsets are a personal favorite of mine. They work well most of the time, and if you have any problems, Plantronics customer service can assist you; however, some reps are extremely helpful, while others are not. Aside from that, Amazon was the cheapest option for purchasing these.
After 3 years, we've moved on to our third headset. The headsets appear to have a one-year shelf life. The product has left me extremely dissatisfied.
