I was reading on this kindle for a while, when all of a sudden it began looking up information on its Her old kindle did not work, so I am getting her this new one. I'm afraid my child will be afraid of the kindle. The game would be controlled by something while she played it. I was watching its settings change on its own and watching it move from app to app. The kindle kept trying to unlock itself when it was locked by something trying to access my contacts! Besides changing the alarm time, it also shifted the alarm to another time. Amazon was not helpful since I could not get anything to work. The unit kept going back to controlling itself on its own even after I forced it to factory restart twice. As long as you're okay with only watching movies, TV, and reading, you might be okay. The Internet connection may not be available though, because my boyfriend's tablet (Lenovo) does not have this capability.
