Since they add up to 12TB of storage, one would assume that it would not be a big deal, however it completely destroys the RAID and partitioning scheme I had envisioned for this server, rendering it essentially useless for my intended use. If I had gone out and bought 6x2TB drives as I had wished, I could have bought a server with more sophisticated hardware for the same amount. Please note - The installed drives should be edited to correct the size. Additionally, there is a Windows 2012 R2 operating system on this "No Operating System," so trying to install Linux on it would be a PITA because "The disk contains an unclean file system. ".
A fast game machine. After installing a good gaming graphics card, this is the machine to have. Fast and ample storage space. Microsoft Visual Studio is what I use to program c and c# using this computer. As well as testing with virtual machines, I use it for this purpose. On the contrary I enjoy graphically intensive games when I'm not studying. I haven't received any blinks from this computer. I use Hyper V constantly to run 6 virtual machines with a 12 TB drive and 1 GB graphics card. I run 12 virtual machines on average on a single drive with Windows 10 Pro. It'll be nice to see it last for a few more.
I have been running this server through the wringer for the past two weeks. There's no doubt that I'm glad to be here. I found the server to be in immaculate condition, both There are no problems at all.
I am even more pleased with the way I was treated as a customer than with the way I am treated as has restored I traditional customer service. Aside from the server being immaculate and functioning perfectly, they upgraded the memory and hard drives on their own volition as a means of thanking the customer. Additionally, the server presented a few free gifts (which were rather nice gifts) to say thank you even more. I am happy with the purchase after they followed up and made sure I was happy with it. Value for customers can be described in this way. As a result, I'll be visiting TechMikeNY for all my computer and accessory needs going forward. I suggest you do the same.
This was purchased in March 2018 so that I can set up my home lab. There was no problem with the shipping process, and it was quick. My first impression was that it was easy to set up with ESXI. I lost a fan a few weeks into the program and had to replace that, then the internal battery a few weeks later. About five months after purchase, it appears one of the CPU's has Due to this being a refurbished server, I will just need to get another and replace the old one since the old one is no longer covered by However, I am quite disappointed with the result.
I bought my first server ever a few years ago. I am completely satisfied. Because it was an older and refurbished server, I was hesitant about buying it so I spent a week reading reviews. Using the Raid 10 option, I converted the drive. It was easy to set up the raid controller. It was running Esxi when I installed Has a great running style. up the package and found everything as it had been described. I am completely satisfied. The software has been running without a hitch for ten days straight. Although there were a few scratches on the bottom of the case, it still looked brand new to me. The inside of the house As far as I'm concerned, I haven't turn the fans all the way up since I'm running virtual machines on it. It's kind of loud when the fans are running at full speed when you first start the computer. For me the usual operation has been quite straightforward, although there is a lot of heat produced.
I bought these servers for my home lab but I discovered that the H700 controller only provides storage to the OS if you set up a raid. If you use these servers in a cluster environment, no other storage mechanisms can be utilized.
This computer is a good value for a processor, memory, and disk combination like this. The one that arrived dead began working after it was uncovered and its cables were connected. I tried pushing all cables with no luck. But the third DVD still doesn't work. Taking risks is therefore a good idea.
You will need six 6TB hard drives to fill I can't say enough about how well it works.
