Yes, but you'll need to know how to unsolder the old switches and solder in new silent switches or another silent mouse that you can find online. I've used this method to silence all of my mice, and it's actually quite simple if you have the right tools.
This is not a gaming mouse by any stretch of the imagination. The polling rate is only 125Hz, whereas a typical gaming mouse polls 500-1000 times per second. At least 1000Hz. Nothing prevents you from playing games on it, but if you want something that excels at gaming, you'd be better off with a gaming-oriented model.
This particular mouse belongs to me. The USB- The device and your computer cannot be connected using a C cable. It is a charging device only. It can only be used as a mouse when connected to a computer via Bluetooth or the USB port. A dongle.
Yes, but only to a certain degree. It will be recognized as a mouse, and all of the buttons, including the right, left, and middle clicks, as well as the scroll wheel, will work. The Back and Forward buttons should function properly. br>**Without being able to install the Logitech drivers, the side scroll wheel and lower thumb button are unlikely to be recognized. *
br>At work, we're dealing with the same problem, which is inconvenient. However, there's a good chance that plugging in the wireless dongle will work - So far, all of the ones I've tried (Logitech non-proprietary) have performed admirably. Windows has automatically configured the dongle so that I can use the mouse wirelessly (thanks to Unifying and Anker). I can't promise it will be the same for you, but it's worth a shot if it isn't an overt policy violation. br>Wishing you all the best.

Why? Why don't you use a USB C dongle? WHICH REASONS DO YOU BELIEVE IN LOGITECH? Why? WHICH REASONS DO YOU BELIEVE IN LOGITECH? Why? Let's finally go FULL USB C, not this half-assed attempt; I'd like to see a full-on USB C effort.
How many times do you think you'll have to try before you get it right? The scroll wheel is a fantastic feature. The fit and finish are excellent, though it should have a model-specific slippery rubber coating once I've figured out how to avoid that issue. The buttons appear to be of reasonable quality. The scroll wheel is a fantastic feature. But. br>br>Damn it dammit dammit dammit dammit dammit dammit dammit dammit dammit dammit dammit dammit dammit dammit dammit dammit How many times do you have to press the damned forward and back buttons before you get it right? br>br>Version one was a disaster. The second iteration was a shambles. Despite the fact that version 3 walad is slightly better, it is STILL STUCK! They are too small, stiff, and blend in with everything around them. br>br> They should be much bigger and placed much lower. br>br> Oh well. br>br> Maybe in version 4, they'll get it right. br>br>TWO STARS OFF for a lack of usability testing with REAL customers rather than developers and managers. br>br>Damn you.
It has terrible scroll wheel issues. Except for scrolling with the scroll wheel, everything appears to be in working order. The web pages don't scroll consistently after about 3 turns of the wheel (tried multiple browsers), as if the wheel turning isn't being detected properly internally. I tried it again with the 2S, and there were no problems with scrolling, so something is wrong with this mouse. I've requested a replacement for a defective item, and I'm hoping it's just this one mouse. If the replacement solves the issue, I will update this review. br>br>Creative+ paraphrase: I almost forgot to mention that I purchased this updated MX Master 3 in the hopes that the macOS bluetooth jittery cursor issues would be resolved, as the MX Master 2S has been known to have bluetooth issues with macOS. Regrettably, they have not been resolved, and the jittery behavior on a Mac continues.
I bought this after purchasing the 2S by accident. I was able to compare and contrast the two products after Amazon listed it two days later. br>br>From an aesthetic standpoint, the white 2S looked much better on my white desk; in fact, it was a perfect match. The light grey version of the 3 makes me wish they'd released a white version with silver accents instead (the silver portions are similar to the silver on MacBooks and other Apple devices, but the light grey portion does not). But, given the 2S's button placement, I'd rather deal with the 3's unappealing color than strain my thumb using the 2S's forward and back buttons. This brings us to ergonomics. br>br> br>br>The 3 has significantly better placement for my larger-than-average hands (I'm 6'1" with basketball player hands, and my hands require an L or XL glove due to finger length). On the 2S, it required pulling my thumb so far back that it felt like it was about to dislocate (it might have been easier if I had used the joint of my thumb to press it, but the buttons being stacked on top of each other on the 2S made it difficult to target the button with the joint of my large fingers; It was less difficult to use the tip of my thumb). This isn't an issue with the third. When I try to scroll horizontally, however, the 3 causes the horizontal scroll wheel to be so high that it puts my thumb in an awkward / uncomfortable position. Fortunately, I don't have to scroll horizontally very often, and I'm hoping that with practice, I'll be able to improve my hand placement. It would have been preferable to place those buttons almost directly where the thumb rests (only slightly above), rather than completely above the thumb (thus allowing for a lower horizontal scroll wheel). It can be used; however, large hands and long fingers may experience some discomfort at first. br>br>I really like the vertical scroll wheel. It feels much better than the 2S's scroll wheel, but you'll have to fiddle with the Logitech Options program to get it to automatically switch to free scrolling based on your desired speed. The default setting makes the switch too quickly, and the difference in speed between ratcheted and free scrolling is noticeable. You may find yourself wishing to scroll a few lines faster, only to find yourself at the very bottom of a webpage. br>br>In addition, YouTubers began posting reviews soon after the game was released, and many of them stated that the scroll wheel is silent. That isn't the case at all. In comparison to the 2S, it's relatively quiet (significantly quieter); in free scrolling mode, it's actually silent, but in ratcheting mode, it can be clearly heard; personally, I find that pleasant; I was disappointed hearing what I initially mistook for the mouse not giving any auditory feedback, but it can be heard; it's just much quieter than the MX mice before, and the feel is much more pleasant. br>br>Last but not least, the software. br>br>On a Mac, the Logitech Options program was not able to be installed. On the first attempt, it simply hangs. When I first installed the 2S software, this happened. I had to force the installation to stop, then uninstall and reinstall the program. When I finally got the 3, the program wouldn't recognize the new mouse and wouldn't let me register it as a new device, and I couldn't remove the previous 2S to install the 3. So I had to uninstall the program again, and when I tried to reinstall the newer version that they had just released, it hung up on the first install process once more. As a result, I had to uninstall it for the third time and reinstall it. When I reinstalled the program, it showed no devices, but I was able to add the 3 as a new device and correctly register it. br>br>Perhaps this problem is caused by the fact that I am an Apple Developer using the Developer Beta of macOS. Or it could just be that Logitech is going through some growing pains that will be resolved in the future. But, if you run into a problem like I did, know that it can be fixed; all it takes is a little patience. br>br>The one thing I haven't figured out yet is how to install custom profiles so that the mouse behaves differently depending on the application. I'm having trouble installing Photoshop's profile. Only Photoshop failed to install, despite the fact that Safari, Chrome, and other profiles did. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Photoshop, but it didn't work, and I'm afraid to try uninstalling and reinstalling Logitech Options again. Maybe next month, when I've had enough time to think about it, I'll give it a shot and update this review. Those quirks notwithstanding, I can confidently say that the 3 is a worthy upgrade. I'll keep it until they release it in white or until the 3s / 4 come out, whichever comes first, but for now I'm happy with it and recommend it.
Although the MX Master 2s was an excellent mouse, I had two issues with it: It had two flaws: 1) it used Micro USB rather than Type C, and 2) the thumb wheel and navigation buttons were difficult to use. br>br>Both of these issues are addressed in the MX Master 3. They've moved the navigation buttons lower down to make them easier to press with your thumb, and the thumb wheel now has a very high-quality feel to it and is very easy to spin around. The main scrollwheel has been improved as well, making it quieter and more enjoyable to use. br>br>As previously stated, this mouse works on almost any surface, can connect to three devices, and can connect via Bluetooth or USB dongle. I've had no problems with it on either a Mac or a PC. br>br>Logitech claims a battery life of 70 days, and while I haven't had the opportunity to put that to the test yet, if the MX Master 2S is any indication, you can expect excellent battery life from this mouse as well.
He mouse is comparable to the Apple Magic Mouse, which is a huge disappointment. The scroll appears to be stuttering and lagging. If you want to use it with a Mac, you should give it a shot.
